The Tiger of Cosa Nostra

Where and when Tristan von Ismay was born is questionable at best. Due to leaked medical information it is known that he has both Hapan and Kiffar bloodlines, and that his lineage to House Ismay has been authenticated. Neither the father or the mother of Tristan have been revealed as of yet, nor will any of the royal house give statements towards the topic. The history of Tristan von Ismay is very scattered, this is no doubt due to his position as Father of Cosa Nostra. What records are found tend to be false and or incomplete. The man is shrouded in mystery, a veil that many in the galaxy would love to remove and find out the secrets behind him - but to this day Tristan has proven to not only be a formidable society leader, businessman and warrior but also a man of sly mind, almost always one to two steps ahead of those that would plot against him. The Tiger of Cosa Nostra is believed to be in his mid to late twenties, and his where abouts are vastly unknown. Sightings of him describe him as a very attractive young man, green eyes, medium to long brown hair almost always brushed and styled. He is nearly six foot tall, and said to be in excellent shape. He has no formal military background, but as his desire was always learning the art of war and combat there is no doubt in saying he has procured better training than most soldiers and officers receive.

Despite his Kiffar roots Tristan chose to go against the ways of his people and not mark his mothers tattoos on his face. He always believed the only markings on a body should be those earned in honorable combat (meaning scars). While many rumors place Tristan as a cold hearted killer, others place him as a hero and saint. Tells of him donating hundreds of millions to charities, or even going to battle along side the Hapan Royal Armed Forces asking nothing in return but the chance to honor himself and his family. Despite all of this there is one tale that has always stuck to him, and it earned him the title "Tiger of Cosa Nostra". Supposedly those that Tristan considered dishonorable that fell before him were all branded with three cuts to the right side of their face which was remarkably similar to the wound of a tiger's claw. Tristan received the title from his peers in Cosa Nostra prior to becoming father - supposedly after his confirmed assassinations reached the count of twenty. Whatever you may choose to believe, the galaxy as a whole views the man with mixed feelings.

Childhood

As stated prior, a majority of the actual history behind Tristan is patched together from facts obtained over years of research into the Royal House Ismay. Until more recently it was believed Tristan von Ismay was an alias for one of the more notorious family members, or perhaps even a false pretender so if the history collected here seems lacking or pieced together that is because it is.

It is known that the Kiffar was actually born on Hapes, and was a half breed. Records show that he was born at the Belmont Estate at 3:32AM-HPT. The young child was originally intended to be given up for adoption as the male Ismay responsible did not want to face Victor von Ismay with news of mixing Ismay blood with a non-hapan without his prior consent. This however was an epic failure, as nearly everyone on Hapes knew Victor and the word reached him within five hours of the birth of what had happened, and what was planned. Victor ordered that the child be kept, as he too was an Ismay regardless of his other bloodline and that he shall receive the same honors and life of any other Ismay. While the records ended here, it is rumored that Victor made a trip to the Belmont Estate himself to see the child with his own eyes and that upon arriving he slayed Tristan's father, and anointed him in his fathers blood giving the child the vow that so long as Ismay blood bled from him that he would always be part of the family. This of course is just rumor.

Medical records show that Tristan became very sick around the age of seven. A virus that ate away at the liver and heart had began to take hold of the young boys body and that Hapan medics would be unable to get an antivirus in time to save him. For years historians of the House Ismay were confused as to how he survived, and to this day there is still no evidence of what truly happened but more recently a letter from Victor's personal collection was found and it is believed that a force user was called in to heal the boy. The letter was addressed to a name that was obviously a spoof or code, Mr. Vince Vance. In the letter it described the sickness that Tristan had acquired, and how Victor feared that the sickness could spread to the other children of the Ismay family if not handled. Victor also acknowledged the man as a powerful user of the force, and kindly requested his services at the Belmont Estate. There is no actual confirmation of if this "Vince Vance" arrived to heal Tristan - but no medical records have shown treatment or cure of the virus contracted by the boy, but the follow up visit recorded 2 days after Tristan was on his death bed stated that he had made a complete recovery with no trace of the virus ever being present and that even the damage to his heart and liver had been reversed!

Outside of this there is one last letter that was obtained from Victor von Ismay's private collection. One addressed to Victor from Tristan. It is believed he was perhaps eleven or twelve at the point the letter was written. It was an invitation for Victor to attend his graduation ceremony, along with thanks for the generous gift of fifty million credits towards his college funds. It has unfortunately been discovered that while Victor had in fact planned on attending - he was soon assassinated after the receipt of the invitation. It is said the effect it had on Tristan was traumatic and believed to be why he went from being a candidate for a future Hapan King to a life of crime and violence. It was also at Victor's funeral that the last known photograph of Tristan as a child was taken, as the young boy dropped from the face of the galaxy for nearly ten years after the death of Victor.

Adulthood

For ten long years no one saw or heard of Tristan, and he became a ghost not only to the galaxy but to the House. Many of his own family members believed him dead or enslaved. Rumors state that there were several attempts to find him not only by Ismay hands, but also Hapan, Imperial, and possibly even Black Sun but some how the young boy managed to evade everyone for whatever his reasons were. It is known however that he returned on a Sunday to the Belmont Estate, nearly unrecognizable. His hair had grown nearly to his hips, and while his appearance was shaggy his physical health and fitness was perhaps the best it had ever been in his life. Wilheim von Ismay had no long been assassinated, and Alexander von Ismay had taken the mantle of Regent, making him Count Ismay and leader of the royal house! Upon hearing of his cousins unexpected return, Alexander himself travelled to the Belmont estate to ensure it was not a false pretender attempting to claim the title of his lost cousin, but to his shock upon arrival there before him stood in the flesh the legitimate Tristan von Ismay. Blood tests were taken just in case, and when positive results were returned Alexander welcomed his cousin back with open arms and brought him up to date on the family affairs. It is rumored that Alexander is the only person that Tristan shared information with on his doings and whereabouts for the past ten years but this of course is just spice to the soup. Records show that Alexander spent three days on Hapes with Tristan, and that before he left he formally gave him his rights to House Ismay back in making him Baron of Tet Marra - an enormous piece of land once owned by Tristan's father. Alexander also gave Tristan ownership of Greenlance Castle which was also once owned by Tristan's father, and was located in the heart of Tet Marra. As a final act, Alexander von Ismay also made it publicly known that Tristan von Ismay was in fact of true Ismay blood and the true Baron of Tet Marra.

Tristan served the Ismay family for two years in various roles which ultimately lead to him meeting several people that most would consider "bad company". It was well known secret that House Ismay had ties in Black Sun, the Galactic Empire, and in the Hapes Consortium. While Tristan's duties played very little into the grand scheme of the events of the past, records do show he was highly commended for his services to the house and received countless amounts of credits and gifts from those in the family and those not. It is largely believed that many of these "gifts" were gratuities to allow smaller gangs or crime family's exist and operate without intervention of House Ismay or its accomplices. It was around this time that historians believe Tristan met Benjamin Telsa, Scarlet Enway, Chizpa Chodolo and Garran Oleash - the original leaders of Cosa Nostra. Where any of these beings originally came from is a mystery. It is believed that Garran Oleash was once a bodyguard for Victor von Ismay and that Scarlet Enway was once a member of the Raptor Pirates but these too are rumors with no factual proof. What is known for sure is that when these five minds got together they formed a society that would effect the underworld for years to come. Originally all five worked as a small closed knit group to rake in extra money from behind the scenes but after only six months each of the five original members had followers that were growing in number! This demanded that the five form a council, a society, and to organize their actions far beyond what they had originally intended and thus after six months of major criminal successes on Hapes and nearby worlds La Cosa Nostra was born! While there is no actual documentation linking any of these people to Cosa Nostra, it too well known that the group does exist and operates very successfully. Cosa Nostra was divided into 5 dynasty's, with Tristan holding the largest of the five. After six more months it was believed that each dynasty had well over two hundred loyal members and that Tristan's Dynasty had over five hundred! It was not long after the Armani Robbery which Cosa Nostra was believed responsible for, that Benjamin Telsa was murdered in his sleep by one of his lieutenants. Tristan had the man brought to Greenlance Castle where he was brutally tortured over three days, then finally executed for his crimes against the family. It is believed that this was the first person Tristan marked with the signature three slashes to the face.

After the demise of the fifth Underboss a great dispute within Cosa Nostra erupted on who would gain what. Tristan begged his fellow Underboss's to be patient and the Telsa Dynasty along with all its assets would be divided among the four remaining Underboss's. However Scarlet Enway was beyond power hungry and believed Tristan was trying to keep the leaderless dynasty for himself - so she plotted an assassination against him. One year ago a news broadcast rang out that Tristan von Ismay had been murdered in his sleep, the same way that Benjamin Telsa had been. With two of its founding leaders dead, Cosa Nostra was standing on pillars of sand. In a desperate move, Scarlet Enway claimed sole leadership of Cosa Nostra and was undisputed for three months, until she awoke on a Thursday morning to find both Benjamin Telsa and Tristan von Ismay standing over her while she had been sleeping. Rumors say that the two men were escorted by two companies of Storm Troopers but this has been denied by the Galactic Empire more than once. However they managed to gain entrance to her personal corvette is unknown but history proves that on that morning Scarlet Enway's body was found in bed riddled with over eighty blaster holes and the signature claw slash on her face - but there was no proof that either of these two men were physically there. Only that they returned from the dead two days after the confirmed death of Scarlet Enway. For his actions in figuring out Scarlet's assassination plots and preventing both attempts from happening a unanimous vote happened and Tristan was selected to become to first "Father" of Cosa Nostra, the undisputed leader and caretaker of the society.
