Biography

Hatched on Bosph, rejected by his own kind, Logan made his own way in the galaxy for some time. Eventually, gathering a force of other alienated Trandoshans, he formed the Pitch Black Hunting Consortium. Now that they were a clan of sorts, T'doshok from Trandoshaa also gathered around them, expanding the military strength of this Mercenary group. Being clan orientated in nature, tensions within Pitch Black spilt out into all our civil war when Logan was reported dead.

The loyalists remained under the Pitch Black banner under the Command of Adde Dima, whilst the traitors broke off to form the Black Hand. A bandit group that was crushed completely upon Logan’s return and the introduction of the Bone Collectors, a group fiercely loyal to Logan and no other.

£very member of the Bone Collectors is an ex-slave that Logan had managed to free which is what forged the unshakeable bond between them. With this new, solid base to build from, a new era began.

The remnants of Pitch Black and the Bone Collectors were merged into one group called the Faceless Hunter Alliance. A group that was brought together not by race, but by circumstance, by their life paths converging at the right time, perhaps even by fate. For a time this new growing powerhouse within the ranks of the Alliance of Mercenary Consortiums took on several successful contracts and their reputation began to establish itself as a reputable branch of the AMC.

But time does not stand still for anyone, and so it did not for Logan Shivers. Over the years the troubled General revelled in stim and alcohol binges, always between contracts and never to the detriment of his work. But this, in conjunction with the major incident at the battle of Carlac in which he almost lost his life, brought about an unforeseen and dangerous new battle.

The battle between Dark and Light.

For most of his life, Logan was oblivious to the fact that he was force sensitive. He had never had any interactions with other force users and did not really know a lot about the subject, only that it was some sort of mythical ability that existed, supposedly, in the Galaxy. He had of course heard stories of historic battles amongst armies of Jedi and Sith and so on, but that was all in the past, they were, as far as he was concerned, dead.

So when the Knights of the Celestial Kingdom broke the news to him that he was actually Force sensitive, and reasonably strong too, the news took him completely by surprise.

Logan began his training, under various mentors from the Celestial Kingdom Force order and his abilities flourished. However there was initially a strong pull from the Dark side of the Force, one that Logan himself did not wish for and an attraction that his mentors helped him to fight against and control.

Believing that he was under full control of his Force abilities Logan returned to active duty and continued to self-train, increasing his abilities further and further. He also returned to his out of work lifestyle of stim and alcohol abuse, his troubled past and violent occupation affecting his mental state so much that he needed the release of the intoxicants to give him a respite. A very artificial one.

Eventually this led to the loss of control over his Force abilities and an incident on Saarn saw Logan fully taken by the Dark side of the force in an uncontrolled fury. He may have eliminated dozens upon dozens of the Black Hand in that incident, but he also severely injured several of his own, including some very close friends, and actually killed two members of the Pitch Black loyalists fighting at his side.

Logan was eventually subdued by members of the Bone Collectors and extracted frm the battle zone. He was transported to a high security vessel, the Lictor class Dungeon ship “Asylum” where he spent several months in enforced isolation. His only contact with other sentients was his Bone Collector guards, and the Knights of the Celestial Kingdom who restarted his force training, concentrating not on improvement of his abilities, but on controlling them. All intoxicants were forbidden and eventually his cravings for them appeared to cease. Logan remained under a self-imposed banishment for over two months after he was deemed fit to return to duty, and only accepted his return to the rank of General within the AMC after the families of those he hurt had given their blessing.

A period of calm ensued whilst the Faceless Hunter Alliance was forming and growing, but once again his internal troubles would come to haunt him. After some hard, violent missions on contract, he once again found solace in stimulants and intoxicants and one last, almost final incident would drive Logan to realise that he had to leave active duty as a mercenary, had to find an occupation that provided more than constant violence. He needed to return to his roots and meditate in a way natural to his kind. He needed to hunt.

Faceless Hunter Ascendancy is born.

In self-imposed isolation on a barely inhabited planet out on the outer rim, Logan spent months clearing his head of stimulants, allowing himself only the luxury of alcohol, a much less damaging intoxicant, and spent his time hunting game. Violence of sorts, but it was somehow not the same as that of the battlefield. Still not quite settled though, Logan took to the deep voids of space and spent his time meditating in the Force and hunting for lost star systems. Although he did not find success in this endeavour, not this time, he did find inner peace, perhaps only temporary, only time would tell, but it was a peace he had not felt for years. A clarity of mind came upon him and he began to sew the seeds of what would become known as the Faceless Hunter Ascendancy.

Logan realised that his life was all about the hunt. The hunt for excitement, the hunt for adventure, the hunt for game, the hunt for the enemy, the hunt for lost systems. The hunt for clarity. Knowing this, or rather, realising this allowed him to build some form of structure to his existence that seemed to be missing before.

In a turn of events that surprised most who knew him, Logan decided to dedicate his new found life to a path he simply called the Hunt. This ideal, through his passion caught on and a small following from his loyal soldiers joined him in his endeavours.

And so, the present day Logan Shivers, Legacy Guardian of the FHA, devotes his time to the preservation of the Legacy of others. Preserving the memory of those departed of this life became just another form of Hunt, the Hunt for immortality through Legacy. His first two Legacy Monuments were dedicated to the soldiers he had accidentally killed in his breakdown on Saarn, the first of many Legacies he hopes to build and protect.

From time to time, Logan can still be found indulging in the pleasures of alcohol, and as he still holds the rank of General within the AMC, he still takes an active part in the training and distribution of the mercenary military forces. But the battlefield is no longer his home. The Legacy, and the Hunt, those are now the driving factors of Logans life.
