Zhellic Ecclesiarchy/Clerical Titles

The High Synod

The collective body of the faith's highest tier Priests and Priestesses within the Zhellic Ecclesiarchy, each one representing the pinnacle of devotion and sacrifice to carry out the will of their deity, and better the faith as a whole. The High Synod is comprised of thirteen total and it has been said that when unified in their actions no feat or miracle is beyond them, and the will of the Gods shall be carried forth.
Grand Vicar
"Vicarius Maximus"
Within the Vicarate there is one who leads the leaders, that being the Grand Vicar. Just as Ziysan rules among the Gods, so to does his Grand Vicar lead amongst the High Synod, and care for all of the thirteens faithful.

Vicar
"Vicarius"
Devout without flaw, and never hesitant to serve the will of the thirteen. Vicar's are given the divine task of leading and protecting one of the thirteen cults of the faith. While the High Synod serves all the Gods without question, the Vicars have also devoted themselves to the service of a specific God, leading their division within the faith and carrying out the specific tasks willed to them. Vicars represent their entire sect within the Zhellic faith, and only one below the thirteen may challenge that.

The Synod

Just as the High Synod represents a living aspect of the Upper Pantheon, the General Synod serves and represents the Lower Pantheon of Zhell and the faith as a whole. The Synod is comprised of the various tiers of Priesthood within the Ecclessiarchy and are typically the faces and voices that the majority of the galaxy sees and hears daily on general practice of the faith.
Flamen
The High Priest or Priestess of one of the various Lesser Gods, they sit on the General Synod of the Ecclesiarchy along with the higher ranking Vicars to handle the important day to day tasks that need be done.
Exarch – A senior cleric of the Gods, they typically serve in assistance to a Vicar or Flamen. In most cases, an Exarch is the highest ranking priest not directly serving the Ecclesiarchy and is usually the senior-most chaplain present at nearly all Zhellic events.

The Priesthood

The titles below are bestowed upon those who serve the thirteen in body, spirit and mind. Their devotion to the faith is the life blood of the religion.
