=Previous Life=
Asaaj was born into minor nobility on the planet Delrakkin. Asaaj, like others born of nobility, lived a privileged life. He attended state dinners alongside his parents, and studied at the planets finest schools. Asaaj had taken a particular love for the high life, he could often be found alone in the palace donning his father's ceremonial armors. He was generally disliked by the commoners under his family's jurisdiction, as he would parade around town in his usual posh demeanor, ordering commoners around and demanding various goods and services.

=Biography=
Around the time Asaaj celebrated his 20th birthday political turmoil gripped the planet. The peasantry, backed by governments promoting "democracy" and "the rights of people", led an uprising. Asaaj's family and several other noble houses refused to capitulate and agree to the terms of the new government. These houses along with several loyalists fought in several skirmishes with the rebels all over the planet. Asaaj himself raised his gold, jewel encrusted DL-18 for what he believed in. He proved to be among the most charismatic of the old guard, leading a company of his to victory in several major battles.

===Childhood===
However, the nobility could not withstand the onslaught of the rebels (now considered the planet's legitimate government) attacks. Slowly they were driven back to their final stronghold, the house of Starwalk itself. Asaaj watched as the gates were broken and the main complex was stormed. Watched as the most loyal were gunned down in the courtyard. Asaaj, along with the rest of the survivors were captured. Vengeful, those very souls that were subjugated by Asaaj in his youth forced his family to kiss their boots among other things.
Asaaj was born the bastard child of a young slave, and a vigilante gang member. His mother worked as a dancer in cantinas to etch out a meager existence. From the time he could walk he was involved with crime. He stole from local markets, the spaceports, and smuggled deathsticks. Asaaj had more run ins with the law in his first 7 years than many other sentinents had in their entire lives. He would often get in fighs with other local boys, earning a reputation as one who "took no bantha shit from anyone."

Around the age of 9 the small apartment he and his mother called home caught fire, Asaaj was the only survivor. This would instill a lifelong fear of fire he would carry for the rest of his life. Now alone sleeping in the dusty alleys he fell ever deeper into the world of crime.
The family was placed under house arrest in a small home. They were brutally treated by their captors. Asaaj spent the next few weeks writing down his feelings in a book which outlined all his beliefs. He believed there were two kinds of people, urchin, and those who rule. He believed the way of the urchin was to serve to rulers and this is how they should be completely devoted to the rulers, and obey without question, and that it was the duty of the rulers to protect the urchin.

===Teen Years===
One night Asaaj along with his family were rounded up in the middle of the night and loaded onto a skiff. They were taken to the outskirts of town and forced to stand shoulder to shoulder. Fearful of a return of the old guard, the men raised their blasters as his father opened his mouth to speak. His last words were interrupted by blaster fire as his body fell to the ground. The rest of the family was shot and fell to the ground, Asaaj included. Asaaj lay still in the night, a light rain falling on his family's corpses. He waited for the skiff to get out of sight and raised his hand to the burn on his right shoulder. He then ran to his family's hangar where his personal ship, an Aggressor by the name of the Eternal Night, lie. He set off in the ship for the unknown. Vowing revenge on all who defied his view on the world.

His next few years were little more than doing menial labor, even turning to crime to make money. He found his family's space station retreat, which contained the rest of House Starwalks ships and belongings. He took what he could and set off again..

=Recent History=
On Year 13 Day 88 Asaaj discovered the first intact clone trooper belt seen in years. It was previously believed that all specimens were destroyed to produce the new Imperial Stormtrooper Armor. It was found on a bandit after a small skirmish with Asaaj and his personal squad of soldiers.

When Asaaj was 14 years old he joined a local swoop gang known as the "Lost souls." Now part of something resembling a family Asaaj felt at home. He was the star of the gang, the best pilot, the best shot, the fastest. He loved this life, the feeling of dominance, the invincibility. He rose through the ranks fast, but he was increasingly at odds with the groups leader. Asaaj wanted more decision making power, to attack bigger targets. He was a risk taker, while the groups longtime leader favored small easy targets.
=Known Vessels=

Frustrated with the group, Asaaj took those loyal to him and set off on their own. Cristening the group "Bleeding Heart" they successfully raided more and more targets. Comandeering starships the group was no longer a small time swoop gang, they became one of the largest crime syndicates on Tatooine. But Asaaj wanted more, more power, more influence. He wanted his name to be synonimous with evil, for his name to strike fear into the hearts of all corners of the galaxy.

At age 18 Asaaj and his Bleeding Hearts boarded a passenger liner to Coruscant, where Asaaj hoped to leave his mark on history.
From the time Asaaj could fly, the Eternal Night was his personal ship. He spent much time within it's interior flying throughout the system he called home. When his family was killed this is the ship he used to escape the planet.

House Starwalk, avid historians, acquired this ship years before Asaaj's birth. It was his father's personal ship.

Upon arriving in Coruscant Asaaj and his bleeding hearts found an entirely different world than the sands of Tatooine. They would have to start fresh, with an entirely new philosophy. The group descended down into the crime ridden lower levels of the city planet. Setting up their operation in an abandoned storefront they carefully observed how crime operated here. After months of observations the Bleeding Hearts were ready to make their move, they brutally murdered the local gang and began asserting their dominance over the population.
==Coronation==

Asaaj took a pirate like approach to making money, demanding protection money from freighters looking to use landing pads in their territory. Those who dared refuse lost their cargo, and their lives. Brutally crushing all opposition from other gangs as well as the authorities the Bleeding Heart empire became one of the strongest within a few years. Asaaj was living the good life moving from club to club enjoying the fruits of his deeds, his lust for power assuaged.
Flagship of House Starwalk, this is the ship the family used to travel on long excursions. It's luxurious interior was an almost exact copy of Starwalk Palace. It now serves as Asaaj's personal flagship.

He took comfort in the fact that his name was heard in the local news warning citizens to stay away from his turf. He was at the pinnacle of his power, the Bleeding Hearts were living high on the hog. The group which now numbered in the dozens continued to attack still greater targets, going as far as hijacking military convoys, and holding diplomats for ransom. He regarded his group as family, enjoying a close relationship with the only female in the group, and the only person he ever loved.

After years of dominance things were about to come crashing down..

After receiving a tip that a large shipment of weapons were stored in a warehouse the Bleeding Hearts moved in for what they thought would be another easy raid. Upon entering they found the large cache of weapons, they began searching through the crates of weapons. They were preparing to load their haul onto their transports when a thermal bomb detonated, collapsing the building and creating a massive fireball. Asaaj was engulfed in a large fireball, he clawed at his burning flesh, trying to ease the pain. Rival gang members appeared all around the warehouse, cutting anyone down that survived the initial blast. The now unrecognizeable Asaaj began staggering his way towards his Aggressor Assault Fighter when a blaster bolt struck him in his left eye. Writhing in pain he crawled up the boarding ramp, stooping over the controls he set the ship to fly itself back to their headquarters. He then fell unconsious.

Asaaj awoke in the cockpit. His skin felt as though it was stretched over his body, he could barely breathe, he could hardly move. Sitting back in the pilots chair he rigged for high orbit, he had no idea if any of his gang had survived, all he knew was that he had to get off Coruscant before he could receive medical attention.

===Going Legit===

Asaaj drifted through hyperspace with no destination, drifting in and out of consiousness. He arrived in the production system of Ubrikkian Industries, a vehicle production subsidary of the New Republic. They treated his wounds the best they could. Now in relatively stable condition Asaaj looked at his reflection in the mirror. He remembered what an old friend of his had said. "cripples are useless." The words played over and over in his head. He would never again amount to anything, he could hardly run, and when he did he erupted in coughing from his damaged lungs. He had to prove he still had use, that he was independent.

He was offered a job as a freigher delivering vehicles across the galaxy. Asaaj accepted, hoping it would give his body time to recover enough for him to find a place to settle down. He found his new life boring, week after week of loading and unloading vehicles. He did however discover that Tatooine H'kuk bean tea soothed the pain in his body. He drank it so much that he carried a pouch of the beans, as well as a thermos.

After spending months delivering vehicles he couldn't take the boring, scheduled lifestyle. Asaaj once again boarded The Eternal Night and set out into the unknown.

===The Outer Rim===

Asaaj now resides somewhere in the outer rim making little noise, he still has ambition for his name to be heard, still with an unquenchable thirst for power. Some say he owns a successful business, others say he's returned to his criminal ways.
