Founding and History

At the same time as the founding of the Chiss Senate, The Chiss Ascendancy decided that a party to represent Progressive Chiss interests in the senate was needed. Primarch Elas Sacara was nominated to chair and Nyll Nitram was elected as the first party senator. The party was formed following the Progressive ideology of Flar Gar and is a prominent movement of the pan-galactic Progressivism movement. At the same time the CPU formed a devision of Chiss felt that the party did not embrace the full ideology of progressivism, this was the Liberation Front and while they remained in the CPU they remain committed to a more militant view on traditionalism.

Orginisation and Objectives

The CPU is a large political entity in the Chiss Senate, because of this the part is also highly orginised. The party is led jointly between the Chairman and the current Senator, the only difference is that one also sits inside the Senate. The Chairman is responsible for orginising campaigning and appointing members to party posts. While the Senator debates in the Senate Chamber.
