In The Beginning
Along time ago upon the face of a blue marble known to others as Naboo. Ones of tyranny descended into and shattered a once peaceful culture. During those days of loss within the capitol of Theed. A small baby by the name of Viperia was orphaned. His parents dead to the march of the imperials in the alleyways and markets. But low and behold in the aftermath of the violence that had come before. A brave individual searched through the rumble to record that which had happened.
Bearing the name of Tekara Narmle she was a twi'lek jedi historian assigned to her homeworld for she was birthed in the very city that laid destroyed before her. Recording many numbers of death she was saddened by the repeat of history. For history repeats its mistakes if never learned. Coming down a short crossed alley she followed the dents left behind by the imperial columns through the narrow canyons that mazed through the housing district.
At the very end of one these she came and before her covered in dust and rumble was the little one without guardian nor caretaker. With a star struck heart she grabbed the child and dared to escape. Covering her find hidden in robes she forced dash through the streets dodging many a imperial roadblock and checkpoint. Coming onto the hangar with scout bikes on her tail. She leaped high into the air dome with a mighty jump. While waving her hand down to the ground she shoved the cockpit open at a distance.
Landing into the seat perfect and with precision taught to her. She raised up the ship into the air taking off like lighting out of storm. Behind her tie fighters gave chase where the scouts had failed. Within the delta she was piloting in her sight out before her the edge of space came closer and closer as she pushed the throttle harder then she ever could forward. When she broke the atmosphere a menacing blockade of an imperial fleet stood in waiting. Taking the chance and with the sole survivor of the attack upon Theed in her hands. She decided to do the unthinkable. Understanding she couldn't go past a fighter screen and picket line. She engaged a experimental hyper drive that could fire off at anywhere and anytime.
Turning it up with a buzz the space around her began to fold canceling the strong gravity of Naboo. With ties and ships closing in from her from all sides it was little and just nearly to late. Out and into hyperspace they went and destined for her home. Tekara could breath a sigh of relief. Interestingly after she left a subspace recording was found that to this day can be found in the jedi archives. While only jedi have access to the archives we can know for sure its word speak of truth as she was known to behold.
A Place To Call Home
Becoming the child's adopted mother Tekara was thankful for the years that had passed and for the fact that Viperia could not remember the tragedy that happened to him. Takera had raised him in peace alongside other fellow jedi at their refuge village on the planet of Thosa. The village known to its inhabitants as Carta. Was a place where the children and rescued families of conflicts were protected in secrecy. Given a new lease on life here he was taught many things.
For every night after coming home from the local temple all the children received their education at. Tekera along with a young Viperia on her lap read through her personal library of history she had grown to love as a child. Not failing in that regard Viperia fell hard for it in much the same way and enjoyed their daily nights of learning such wondrous things.
Soon and eventually the time of his childhood had passed. Viperia during his adolescent years really was a handful. Known to skip out on school to explore the country side he influenced other fellow classmates the fun that it was to do. So it was common for half the class to be missing on a day Viperia was. This fact and others would drive the jedi teachers into very uncomfortable realisations. Eventually it got so bad they approached Tekera about it who at this time was older in her life then she was during her young adult years.
Tekara very understanding of the curiosities of her boy and want to be do such. Came alongside the teachers and one day together they followed the explorers on one of their little trips. During their hidden observations they soon realised that the young ones weren't skipping just for the point of it. But they were coming out to learn in the wilderness with Viperia spearheading this interest.
With the reason for it in the end the teachers then began to change the formal education system they thought would have been best for them. So no more did the young ones skip. For everyday instead of learning in the classroom the teachers brought them outside and to be taught in the sun. Such was one of the wonderful things of Carta.
Summer Of Love
When Viperia became upon the age of a man. He had progressed far sense his days growing up. During this time he was told of his past and what had happened to him. Knowing no other family then the people he had been with he accepted what happened. With his finished education he took the time one summer with Tekara's caution to go over to ocean that ran through the center of the equator of Thosa. Having always wanted to visit sense he was a child he set out on an early morning day and was able to reach there by dawn.
Far away from his village and camping by the shore Viperia admired the nature and body of water he had never seen before. However on one of these days of camping a curious movement in the water had caught his eye. Calling it to instantly upon seeing it no longer was the movement there. Thinking nothing of it he continued about his vacation. However the next day proved such the same event. Again he did as before and the same thing happened. So a week goes by and over and over the event proves true.
Having enough of it Viperia woke up one early morning and waited for the disturbance. But when it did he dove straight into the water right after and low before him was an alien native to her world. Smiling with a grace she showed a very warm and curious nature. Viperia stumbled by such a discovery didn't know what to do. However he eventually lightened up and over the days that came they formed a friendship.
Some mornings she would bring him fish to eat she had caught herself. While late into the nights when he was sleeping by the fire she would watch him with a curiosity that never ended. Deciding to call her Riki he stayed for the rest of the summer and has he did they become closer. Till finally one of the rarest things had happened. Both of these being sentients born of other worlds fell in a deep love that could never be broken.
Change In Tides
Happily living together in a house next to his adopted mothers. Riki and Viperia grew together in a love spoken of throughout the whole village. Having been 2 years sense meeting her Viperia was twenty years old. While he never wanted to be force sensitive his mother constantly encouraged for him to find out. But each and every time he declined happy with his current life he had. Having been two years sense his class was last together during the spring a reunion of sorts played out amongst them. Riki decided she was comfortable and it wouldn't be her place to come even with Viperia's encouragement.
Coming together like they did in old times the class got together in the hills not so far outside of their village. Going over old lessons they did together and enjoying their time with Viperia they were glad. But sadly upon them a massive shadow conquered the valley they called home. Looking up Viperia's eyes widened at the site of a familiar shape for in his books this was known to be the dreaded imperial war machine. A massive V shaped starship was the source of this shadow in their eyes and beside it small dots accompanied it.
Without a second in reaction lights upon the bottoms of the ships lit and down came with large wizzes lasers hitting the ground hard and all around. Screams could be heard across the valley and amongst themselves taking cover where they could. Viperia and his classmates were shaken to the core.
But then a large explosion was heard and with a flash they were blinded. Not be able to see and his ears ringing Viperia's heart dropped to a low he had never had felt before. For once he gained his eye sight in front him. Laid a crater where his village once was. Breaking down unto his fellow classmate he never was the same again.
A Never Ending Depression
With a broken heart and fearing the worst for days Viperia dug through the rubble of his home and his mothers. But he never found their bodies even after completely clearing both plots of land. With the imperial fleet long gone Jedi investigators claimed it to be another unprovoked attack upon innocents. Later on Tekara and Riki were classified as missing for their was no evidence to support they died.
As time marched by Viperia's perplexion changed. Depressed always where ever he went and not being able to get over what had happened. His thoughts weighed heavy upon him. With everyone else moving on away on and from Thosa. He decided to as well. Hoping maybe amongst the stars he could find closure to a case never closed.
