Talk:John Bourne
To be added soon (pending darkness developments):
After some time in prison, John received a visitation from two men who identified themselves as having come from the New Republic Intelligence Services. An offer was made and John was given two weeks to consider. It was presented to him that he had been observed and had the opportunity to have him and the friends he was arrested with to be released and have their criminal records archived in return for their services and a pledge of allegiance to the New Republic. As John was relatively comfortable with the conditions in prison he was at first fairly uninterested, until he spent some time reading a manifesto of values. Having witnessed first hand the devastating effects of the very corruption that his own family had benefited from, John found the cause of the Republic noble and swore fidelity to their fight against injustice and the Empire. It is believed to be the first time in his life that John had ever subscribed himself to a purpose beyond his own personal gratification.
