History

First produced long before the clone wars the Barloz freighter was a popular ship spread all over the galaxy. At that time it was one of the sturdiest. largest and cheapest freighters in that class available. Compared to modern standards the weapon system is inadequate but nevertheless the Barloz freighter is still popular with independent forces or even minor planetary defense forces. The Barloz freighters are still in use even with the freighters of the YT-series more popular.

Standard Specification

The cockpit, a visible pre-design of the YT-series, was designed to work with a two person crew, but can be manned by just one when needed. Able to carry up to five passengers the Barloz was designed on multi-role purpose - cargo hauler and passenger transport.

As with all Corellian-made ships, Barloz are customizable to the pilot's needs. Espacially the weapon systems and the hyperdrive are the targets of a lot of talented mechanics.

No longer custom made, the Barloz freighter is still produced in rare qantities from some minor shipyards.
