Childhood

Kal Teno Bann was born in a laborer's subdivision of Le Yer on the planet Abregado-Rae. His mother worked housekeeping and service jobs among the various casinos and resorts on Phyrstal Island. His father operated a small general repair and pawn shop located in a nearby low-rent mercantile district.

Young Kal spent most of his time working around his father's shop. During this time he picked up a good business sense by helping with item appraisal, inventory management and money handling. He also developed a solid working knowledge of blasters, personal electronics, and small vehicles, often completing repairs and restorations himself.
