Biography

Childhood

Kal Bann was born in a laborer's subdivision of Le Yer on the planet Abregado-Rae. His father operated a small general repair and pawn shop located in the nearby low-rent mercantile district. His mother worked housekeeping and service jobs among the various casinos and resorts on Phyrstal Island.

Young Kal received most of his education working around his father's shop. During this time he picked up a good business sense by helping with item appraisal, inventory management and money handling. He also developed a solid working knowledge of blasters, personal electronics, and small vehicles, often completing repairs and restorations himself.

Occasionally, Kal's mother would bring him to help out in the kitchens and laundries of Phyrstal. These trips gave Kal an opportunity to witness a lifestyle above the station he was born in to. He was impressed by the flair and leisure that wealth enabled and resolved to pursue it where ever and how ever he could.
