History
The Patriarch of House Purso is proud of the Ascendancy and committed to serving his people and their shared home world. In the past his House worked closely with the CEDF, providing personnel for the CEDF's navy and ground forces.
Purso'dal'nuruodo, core name Sodaln, was born on a CEDF trade station on the trade route from Rhigar to Csaus, in the Rata Nebula. He would be classified as a void born Chiss, as a result of this, he's taller than the average Chiss and his bones being more brittle. This made it harder for him to work under a planets gravity, though it never stopped him. He was born on the tail end of the Anti Alien Purge and into a time of great strife for the Chiss Ascendancy. He is the eldest of the three children to his Father "Soyund" Purso'yun'danai and his Mother "Sochen" Purso'che'nuruodo. Sodaln would lose his father, the former Patriarch of House Purso in the Chiss Civil Dispute (CCD), his mother would take up the mantel until a new leader could be put in place. She too would pass away, giving birth to his second sister "Sozelta" Purso'zel'tann. Sodaln would become the next Patriarch of House Purso late in his teen years. He would take political and military advice from the more experienced aides.
Further expanding his advisors from other Houses (Inrokini, Danai, Nuruodo.) to assist him in running the House. He would have the personal of House Purso protect the people of the Ascendancy, where ever they could. Resulting in stretching the House thin, in resources and personnel, in an effort to fill the needs. This would continue over the years until a number of Chiss left the Ascendancy and Chiss Space, to form the Empire of the Hand. Feeling he had to protect them and after much debating, the House split due to contrary beliefs that they should stay within the Ascendancy, House Purso would follow the migrants with the goal of protecting and helping them, to the best of their ability. This decision lead them to be labelled as exiled by the then CA. At the tail end of the Empire of the Hands life, House Purso would rejoin the CA, in a heavily diminished capacity. Not just as a result of their previous exiling but due to another split, resulting in some members of the House going off to seek adventure in the wider galaxy. It would take several years for House Purso to become part of the larger Chiss Society again. Since then Sodaln has been working with other Houses to help build up the public infrastructure on the Chiss worlds, many being identified following the New Republic stewardship. Throwing himself and his House into projects with other Houses. In that time Sodaln has worked to rebuild his House's reputation by assisting the Chiss Ascendancy, especially working to help build up military and medical supplies on top of furthering resource gathering. In recent years his House would be given a seat on the Council of Families and Sodaln would be made an Aristocra. As time would go on his regret in the decision to follow the Chiss from Chiss Space in the mindset of wanting to protect his people, he would further stand behind the banner of the Ascendancy as a staunch Isolationist with a Chiss first and only mindset as the safety of those in Chiss Space ─Chiss and non-Chiss citizens─ taking priority over everything else.
