| ==Early Life==

| Elas was born on Af'el before the outbreak of the civil war. He lived a rather anonymus life as a hunter for the people of Af'el (due to the harsh living conditions there was little in the way of rivalry between indevidual defel or defel clans). He proved himself a rather adept at hunting on the planets surface. This skill slowly began to make Elas money, when the Defel had accumulated enough he bought the surface hunting group that employed him. Leading this firm to unknown levels of prosperity Elas began to accumulate vast wealth and status amoung other Defel. But Af'el began to shrink for Elas, The planet began to lose its interest points. So Elas chartered a ship off Af'el with a small time pilot working with [[Cryomed Laboratories]].

| Elas was facinated with the array of medical devices he found on the ship. From this (and his meeting with [[Cryomed Laboartories]] [[Obi Wan Soares]]>. Elas enlisted with the (then) small time medical faction. Elas was not a member long before some Jedi affilated with [[Tion Hegemony]] arrived. Elas was found to be one of those few who could bend the force to his will. Elas then departed with these jedi to study under one of them, [[Zara Sturm]].

| After some time at Tion (which will not be mentioned here). Elas returned to Cryomed to fill a senior position, this position was Director of Logistics. Elas proved a natural at managing the pilots of this group, he was however rather annoyed at the fact that most of his pilots showed great inability to use the public channels or to communicate their intent fully. This growing inactivity and disorder in his department eventually drove Elas to take a break to force test, for the Chiss race. At the behest of an old friend [[Flar Gar]]

| ==The Chiss Ascendancy==

| Elas undertook a tour of Chiss controlled territory. Meeting many young and aspiring chiss, Elas conducted a large amount of force tests on these chiss but came up empty (not a supprise due to the Chiss low probability of force sensitivity). During one of Elas's many testing classes a young chiss girl approached the Defel, she told Elas about what turned out to be a plot to murder the current CEO of Chiss Material Extractions, [[Flar Gar]]. While the young girls story was hardly credable, it was enough to get Elas's attention and upon a little uncovering the story turned out to be true! This revelation provoked action from Elas, moving quickly he burned through various Chiss to find the ringleader of the plot was one of the chiss's "Aristocra" named Carn`ilo` Sabosen (Nilos in basic). Using a force test as a facade Elas lured the chiss into a trap and arresed him for trial.

| Several days later the ruling council voted to have Nilos exicuted. Elas was appointed exicutioner and carried out this duty. This act earned him the love of the vast majority of the Chiss population (which were yearning to intigrate into the galatic community) and the ire of a small number of Extreme fundamentalist chiss who wished to keep the Chiss a isolated race at the expence of all else. Pleasantly shocked by the friendship expressed to him from the increacingly multi-racial Chiss Ascendancy, Elas relocated to become a full citezen. Shortly after He was accepted (unanimouly) into the ruling High Council. Elas was appointed the Ascendancys "Harbinger". The fact that a Defel was able to achive this infurated many "Traditionalist" Chiss.

| Elas remains a firm supporter of those Chiss who follow the "progressive" viewpoint.

| ==Personality==

| Elas's personality is one of (on the surface) cool friendlyness, those who have not spent considerable time with the Defel are treated largely with indiffrence. (no love/no hate) Once someone has managed to breach this cold outer persona (a not to easy task) people find that Elas is a warm and caring indevidual. Fiercly loyal and protective of those he considers his "brothers." However to those who have declared themselves his foes or foes of his brothers Elas shows a ruthless, sociopathic streak. He will not stop until those foes are dead, no matter how long it takes.
