Jack Starways was born on Alderaan, in the Coldcloud Hospital. He grew up in House Starways, although his parents weren't rich. He had a good life, as his family always said that money didn't give any luck. At the age of 10, his parents got into trouble with a gang. They claimed that his family owed them 12 000 credits. As his parents didn't got that amount of credits, they refused. The gang's leader shot down Jack's mother, and his father suddenly started fighting the gang so Jack could escape. "Jack, get away from here and make your life!" were his father's last words, before he was shot down. While the local police arrived to arrest the gang, he escaped.
