| Elijah Shoryyhn is a native of the forest world Kashyyyk. As a young Wookiee cub he devoted himself fully in his studies to become a skilled technician and warrior. He preferred to keep active, feeling uncomfortable if he wasn't undertaking some challenge, and so he quickly excelled. When he was allowed, he would eagerly join in the hunting parties; his hunting instincts increasing as he learned to track, stalk and outmaneuver the prey. Of course these activities did not consume the whole of his life and when he had a quiet moment he would use his sharp climbing claws to ascend the ancient Wroshr trees and rest in in the canopies above. He especially enjoyed doing so at night, when the stars would cast a beautiful silvery light upon the tops of the trees. He would stay up there for hours wondering what lay out in the galaxy. "Certainly adventure and battle await across those stars," he would think to himself. And so, this pattern continued for a time in Elijah's life.

| Elijah quickly grew into a strong Wookiee, knowledgeable and confident, exhibiting great prowess as a warrior. He was even able to master all three Wookiee dialects: Shryiiwook, Theykarann and Xaczik. Eventually the time came for Elijah to undergo the Hrrtayyk ceremony. In Wookiee culture this is done by journeying down to the lowest level of the forests, better known as the Shadowlands, in an attempt to harvest a tuft of fibers from the carnivorous Syren plant. Elijah readily accepted the challenge and he descended into the Shadowlands. I'm afraid the rest of Elijah's journey into the Shadowlands is a bit personal, but if you ask him about it and if he likes you, he may feel inclined to share the adventure. That said, he was successful in retrieving the fibers, which he wove into a traditional Wookiee belt. The celebration that ensued was a most joyous occasion and a memorable moment in Elijah's life.

| Elijah proudly continued life in his village for a while, but there was always something that drew him to look up at the stars. Finally one day, he made the decision to leave Kashyyyk and embark on a new adventure. Elijah knew he was capable of achieving much more in the galaxy, despite the fact that he would be perfectly content to remain on Kashyyyk he felt it would be an injustice to deny his potential in this way. He continues his adventure still to this day and has made many friends along the way and achieved great accomplishments since leaving Kashyyyk. Elijah has found that the galaxy can be both a frightful and wonderful place at the same time. A plethora of races, planets and cultures. An ever changing thing. Amongst it all he remains steady as he continues his journey and he is always ready for a new challenge!
