Originally an asteroid rich in heavy rare metals and mineral formations,Caldria was briefly mined by the Old Sith Empire, who eventually abandoned it due to its thick, impenetrable crust. Thousands of years later, nature did what even the Sith could not: a collision with another asteroid broke Caldria in half, exposing its trove of rare metals and crystals for easy mining. A rush ensued as corporations and private individuals tried to strike it rich on Caldria, and thieves and outlaws followed in their wake.
As space became tight, construction of processing facilities extended vertically from the asteroid, creating Caldria's jellyfish-like silhouette. To prevent future collisions, the station was ringed with laser turrets that redirected and destroyed incoming debris. The heavy-metal-rich core of the original asteroid was mined until the asteroid was almost completely hollow, providing the initial resources used to construct Caldria's buildings and facilities. Over the years, these have been expanded until they completely covered every exposed inch of its surface, making Caldria a bizarre mishmash of architecture and technology. Today, Caldria is a major hub of narcotics, weapons, even rare artifacts and other valuables that find their way to the black markets. Although in the past there was almost no pretense of civilian government or military control, recently a band of mercenary groups under the command of administration office have been able to install a limited order and a system that resembles law.
Dockyard
- Anchorpoint - area dedicated for docking, loading and unloading.
- Drunken Mynock - is a cantina on the mercenary-controlled space station Caldria. It is comprised of two floors, with the first floor featuring a large circular bar with booths placed along the perimeter of the room in which most patrons of the club spend their time. It also contains a storage area and small warehouse in the back, along with a manager's office in the very rear. Highrise district
- Crystal Lane - area that is entirely inhabited by the so called high society, some of whom are rogue members of different aristocracies as well as rich crime lords who have bought their way to the top. The Crystal Lane doesn't care as long as there are credits to spend. This part of the station houses various luxurious establishments such as Spa with a dedicated view of nearby Nebula as well as indoor pools, not to mention the main entertainment establishment for the rich and lucky - a Casino.
Merchants district
- Interiorland - a place to browse and buy furniture
- Botanicium - a place to browse and buy plantlife
- Rockforge - Armory run by an ex Mandalorian
- Merchant living quarters
Backtown
- Allikar Shrine - Between various abandoned sections of this part of the station lays a dark warehouse that holds an immense stone statue that is presumably dedicated to the Darth Allikar, a Sith lord who is shrouded in mystery, but presumably was responsible for laying first foundation stones of the station thousand of years ago. While the statue in itself is impressive to look at, the warehouse holds other curiosities of the bygone eras of the Ancient Sith Empire. The caretakers of this statue are homeless people from various parts of the station, as well as there are some other shadowy figures dressed in black robes who are staying on guard and are occasionally patrolling the perimeter. The so called leader of this shrine is an old man known only as Xadash.
- Underworld - Area that is called Underworld, is bustling with activity as it is the prime spot for setting up a shop and do illegal activities, not like anyone would care about them in Caldria, nevertheless Underworld has become the prime area for black market operations. Usually one could find many different things that are being sold in a black market like: forbidden droids, drugs, weapons, and other technological innovations, as well as banned music and entertainment, bootleg holos and Twi'lek slaves. The person who has some sort of the authority in the Underworld is the Nargerak Larson who with his gang Thornriders are making sure that nothing would endanger their and the customer activities. Nargerak usually earns his income through drug trafficking as well as using the muscle to extort money for unbroken bones or goods.
- Galveniti Workshop - Deep down in the Underworld besides a condo that probably is a drug den, lives a man known as Seric Galveniti, an inventor and scholar who in the past served as a professor in a university on Corelia, but now makes his living by selling innovations and curiosities that he and his associates have found. No one knows how he ended up in Caldria, or at least in Underworld, but there are rumors that he got caught selling high grade military and technological materials to the criminals.
- Lower living quarters
Ashland
- Slums - The area only known as Ashland, houses only one thing - The Slums of Caldria, this is the most undeveloped area of the station, and it wasn't even supposed to be inhabitable or accessible to anyone. The slums came to exist when the mining became too expensive to maintain profit so the companies that ran mining operations shut down. This led to a massive unemployment rise, and while many workers left the station to seek work elsewhere, some of them stayed and made home in the mining shafts. Using rudimentary engineering they were able to set up their own power lines that tapped small amounts of energy directly from the main fusion reactors of the station. They also used innovative ways to grow food in form of cave fungus and other plant life that could thrive in small enclosed places.
- Black Vale Workshop - Deep in the bowels of Ashland, there lays a little warehouse that has been built out of an old freighter. The front entrance is well guarded with makeshift turrets as well as couple of local thugs, who carry different firearms.
