Originally an asteroid rich in heavy rare metals and mineral formations,Caldria was briefly mined by the Old Sith Empire, who eventually abandoned it due to its thick, impenetrable crust. Thousands of years later, nature did what even the Sith could not: a collision with another asteroid broke Caldria in half, exposing its trove of rare metals and crystals for easy mining. A rush ensued as corporations and private individuals tried to strike it rich on Caldria, and thieves and outlaws followed in their wake.
As space became tight, construction of processing facilities extended vertically from the asteroid, creating Caldria's jellyfish-like silhouette. To prevent future collisions, the station was ringed with laser turrets that redirected and destroyed incoming debris. The heavy-metal-rich core of the original asteroid was mined until the asteroid was almost completely hollow, providing the initial resources used to construct Caldria's buildings and facilities. Over the years, these have been expanded until they completely covered every exposed inch of its surface, making Caldria a bizarre mishmash of architecture and technology. Today, Caldria is a major hub of different trade goods including: weapons, rare artifacts or other valuables that find their way to the various markets of Caldria. Although in the past there was almost no pretense of civilian government or military control, recently a band of mercenary groups under the command of administration office have been able to install a limited order and a system that resembles law.

Minor factions
- The Silvermoors Family - dressed in the most exquisite suits, armed with the best blasters and access to a large pool of muscle, the Silvermoors Family will still be able to take down their rivals without firing a shot. They control most of the illicit contraband that goes through the station as well as small time extortion rackets, but their biggest income maker is the Lucky Diamond Casino that is owned by the current head of the Family, Eluek Silvermoore, a Twillek of screwed mind and a cold heart.
- Tzuverian Syndicate - an ancient religious organization that has been around for thousand of years. Whereas other groups on station see raw might as the key to dominance, the Tzuverian Syndicate see technology as the only power in the galaxy to rival the Force, possessing the ability to transform lives, societies and cultures, and to determine the outcome of wars. They are led by one person that they refer to as Unbounded One, a leader who is selected every 50 years by the organization in an elective manner. The group is headquartered in the outskirts of Anchorpoint and resides in the old warehouse section that has been transformed with a series of network terminals from which the group conducts its business.
- Clan of Naga - is an Trandoshan clan that resides in Caldria Space Station and are known for running small time gambling operations in the Slums, though they are also rumored to be engaged in slave trade. Under their current clan leader Zyksc Naga, they recently procured the HCT-2001 Dragonboat-Class Freighter Weyward Longhaul from a mining station after the death of the ship's previous owner. The Clan of Naga re-named the ship to Blood Couldron and outfitted it to be used as a combat arena where brutal combat events are hosted for viewer pleasure.
Dockyard
Anchorpoint
Anchorpoint is an area that is dedicated for docking, loading and unloading. It allows free passage for the ship crews to return and depart as they see fit, and it extends through out the station, connecting all the districts of the station with it. Its big docks are in six main clusters around the station and protrudes from the asteroid. The are also great spiderwebs of steel and carbon mesh studded with warning lights and sensor arrays to wave off any ships that might come in too tight. Anchorpoint is accessible via the turbolift network and offers an impressive view of the Caldria Dockyards when the lift ascends from the lower sections of the Anchorpoint.
Drunken Mynock
Drunken Mynocka is an cantina on the mercenary-controlled space station Caldria. It is comprised of two floors, with the first floor featuring a large circular bar with booths placed along the perimeter of the room in which most patrons of the cantina spend their time. It also contains a storage area and small warehouse in the back, along with a manager's office in the very rear. The second floor features a large circular opening in the center, above which large sections of holo-screens on a large ring are suspended from the ceiling, it also contains another section of booths and a dance floor in the corner. Sometimes various mercenaries can be met in the bar who are offering their service for the right price.
Highrise district
The Crystal Lane
The Crystal Lane is the gleaming heart of the Caldria. While other districts are home to most of the Caldria's population and are considered more lively, the Crystal Lane is considered to be the province of the most elite and powerful individuals, some of whom are rogue members of different aristocracies as well as rich crime lords who have bought their way to the top. The interior of the Crystal Lane is landscaped to resemble a lush parkland on a lush planet. No detail was overlooked, boasting a large freshwater lake, verdant fields of grass, trees, and artificial clouds, as well as sunlight and gentle breezes. The Crystal Lane goes through a brief day-night cycle, allowing six hours of darkness during which the 'sky' on the holo-projectors is darkened. The lakes act as reservoirs, independent from the water storage tanks on the station. The water is purified to prevent bacteria from one species infecting another, due to the difference of amino acid structures that could prove fatal if ingested. The buildings are built along the curving walls of the station, and were meant to blend in unobtrusively with the surroundings.
CorSec Caldria Branch
CorSec Caldria Branch is an establishment that is headquartered on the southern edge of the Highrise district. CorSec was at first hired by the Caldria Administration to establish and maintain law in the vital areas of Highrise district, but later the branch offered its services to the rest of the inhabitants who could pay for their security services, which could include simple VIP and high value asset security to tasks that involved countering piracy in nearby trade routes for small corporations and private contractors alike. CorSec Caldria Branch operates a small contingent of gunships and fighters and with a force of 24 well-trained CorSec Flight Officers, they frequently patrol the space station and nearby space. Besides security personnel, CorSec also has its own small force of military personnel which are stationed on Caldria. They typically operate in squads of five to ten troopers and carry blaster pistols or blaster rifles. They are trained in unarmed combat and other types of melee combat as well as zero-G vacuum combat.
Merchants district
- Merchants Commons - a place that features various smaller shops, living quarters and Dustfall Bazar, where everyone can offer their goods for sale if they find a place where to set up their stalls.
- Rockforge - Armory run by an ex Mandalorian
- Shipping Warehouse - the warehouse serves as a short-term storage area for goods that are waiting to be distributed to the shops or to waiting freighters that are docked at Anchorpoint. Besides large sections of storage area, a small portion of the warehouse consists of a lobbies and a conference/reception rooms.
Backtown
Allikar Shrine
Between various abandoned sections of this part of the station lays a dark warehouse that holds an immense stone statue that is presumably dedicated to the Darth Allikar, a Sith lord who is shrouded in mystery, but presumably was responsible for laying first foundation stones of the station thousand of years ago. While the statue in itself is impressive to look at, the warehouse holds other curiosities of the bygone eras of the Ancient Sith Empire. The caretakers of this statue are homeless people from various parts of the station, as well as there are some other shadowy figures dressed in black robes who are staying on guard and are occasionally patrolling the perimeter. The so called leader of this shrine is an old man known only as Xadash, who with his followers have gathered large selection of Ancient Sith Artifacts.
Underworld
Area that is called Underworld, is bustling with activity as it is the prime spot for setting up means of dealing goods and services, outside of the eyes of the Administratum of Caldria. The Underworld market was built gradually in and out of old freighter hulls, with smaller and larger tents surrounding them, as such the Underworld sprawls across an large section of the station and reminds in its strange architecture a bazaar of old. Usually one could find many different things that are being sold in a black market like: forbidden droids, drugs, weapons, and other technological innovations, as well as ancient relics that have been stolen. Through most of its existence the Underworld has never had an single authority in control, rather it has been governed by mutual agreements between influential entrepreneurs working together.
- Galveniti Workshop - Deep down in the Underworld besides a condo that probably is a drug den, lives a man known as Seric Galveniti, an inventor and scholar who in the past served as a professor in a university on Corelia, but now makes his living by selling innovations and curiosities that he and his associates have found. No one knows how he ended up in Caldria, but there are rumors that he got caught selling high grade military and technological materials to the criminals.
Meridania Wards
Meridania Wards in an residential area that houses large prefab blocks that serves as living quarters for hundreds of inhabitants of the station. These habitat blocks are sealed against vacuum, so in case of worse case scenario, when the section of the station looses breathable air they can serve as huge life-pods until help arrives. Meridania Wards also houses the Caldria clinic, which is responsible for daily medical treatment of many civilians and visitors of the station.
Red Veil Distillery
Red Veil Distillery is an establishment in Caldria, that is responsible for production of the most alcoholic beverages that are ether consumed locally or shipped out to nearby planets and other spaceports. Because of the limited space, the distillery uses various vat grown fungi species for the ethanol extraction which is later distilled for save consumption. The distillery makes Basilisk Strong Spirit, a powerful alcoholic beverage that has become famous across the Outer Rim for the level of its potency.
Ashland
- Slums - The area only known as Ashland, houses only one thing - The Slums of Caldria, this is the most undeveloped area of the station, and it wasn't even supposed to be inhabitable or accessible to anyone. The slums came to exist when the mining became too expensive to maintain profit so the companies that ran mining operations shut down. This led to a massive unemployment rise, and while many workers left the station to seek work elsewhere, some of them stayed and made home in the mining shafts. Using rudimentary engineering they were able to set up their own power lines that tapped small amounts of energy directly from the main fusion reactors of the station. They also used innovative ways to grow food in form of cave fungus and other plant life that could thrive in small enclosed places.
- Black Vale Workshop - Deep in the bowels of Ashland, there lays a little warehouse that has been built out of an old freighter. The front entrance is well guarded with makeshift turrets as well as couple of local thugs, who carry different firearms.
