Description

The Legacy of the late Unknown Emperor marks the official formation of the Empire of the hand. On the death of the Emperor, an empire is reformed. The voice of four spoke on behalf of many. Bring Chiss values with non Chiss values in careful union. All races become equal. All welcomed into our ranks. All have the right to the basic freedoms within the charter.

The Empire of the hand is an old idea based on old hopes. A dream given form. For sometime now the idea has become reality, even if the name was different. A practical expression of what a real community can do. Determined, to lead a free and where ever possible a life of a diplomatic and cultural contact. Not simply a mining faction we are a of way of life.

Based in the Kriz Sector including 3 systems with a number of planets, Berrol's Donn was named as the capital planet. The planet Gunthar has become the main commerce hub and trade hub for the Kriz Sector which has lead to an influx of many different races.

History

The Empire of the Hand has its roots in the fourth incarnation of The Chiss Ascendancy. The Fourth Ascendancy was formed at a troublesome time for the Chiss race, there was great devision among Chiss.It was decided that despite attempts to bride the gap widening between The Fourth Ascendancy and Traditionalist Chiss (who congregated in the Chiss Parliament) that the gap would persist and possibly widen.It was therefor decided that The Fourth Chiss Ascendancy was obsolete, The Council of Ascendancy leaders that the Ascendancy should dissolve and reform as something new. It was then that a prominent Chiss scholar came forth with his findings about an ancient Empire formed between Chiss and other Races.

It was then that the Council of The Ascendancy went in search of the descendants of that legendary Chiss, however all bar one had already died and the one that remained was not far from death. His wish however would be that despite his death The Empire of the Hand would be rekindled anyway.

In line with their Emperors wish the Council of the Ascendancy reformed as the Council of Four Voices and Reorganised the Ascendancy into a new Empire.
