The Blackscale Clan is the oldest surviving can of the Trandoshan clans. Founded thousands of years ago, much of its history is lost to time, but the early Blackscales were known to be a violent and isolationist clan, even by Trandoshan standards. For this reason, they were therefore mostly avoided by the other clans of the time. Blackscale Trandoshans are raised from a young age to excel at hunting, and for this reason, produce some of the most feared and prolific bounty hunters in the galaxy. In modern times, the clan has been lead by leaders of the Blackscale Slavers, who rose to prominence after the Clone Wars thanks to their skill in capturing and selling Wookie slaves to the Empire and later the galaxy at large.
