In Year 21, the Altisian Jedi Order programmed seven RA-7 protocol droids with detailed instructions on lightsaber construction. Each of these Altisian Jedi Order Lightsaber Instructor Droids includes a checklist of all necessary tools and components, descriptive texts on the function of each, as well as how to acquire them. Each also includes step-by-step instructions, with practical examples, on how to solve the math puzzle necessary for crystal tuning. These droids containing the collective wisdom of several Altisian masters were initially used by Altisian padawans, but they were later released to other Force Sensitive individuals outside the Altisian Jedi Order.
