House Descartes is a heavily militaristic former Royal House of Alderaan and lives by the tenets of Strength, Honour, and Integrity. It is believed to have been founded in the Year -612.

When the planet of Alderaan chose to ban all weapons, House Descartes refused to comply. Their land and titles were stripped, and the House was exiled from the planet along with a small fleet and a convoy of around two thousand nobles, soldiers, and engineers.
