Biography

Early Childhood

Born to a wealthy Corellian Philanthropist, Jack Ryder, and a Hapan mother named Mariah Ryder, Elegos was always different than the other kids. Whereas the other children on Corellia were always focusing on their piloting abilities, Elegos idolized his father and seemed to see it as his responsibility to help people of every culture. It was this aspect of his personality that led Elegos' parents to take him to Coruscant, the center of the galaxy, where he would be able to view more species than he had ever seen before.

Unfortunately, disaster soon struck. After boarding a GR-75 Gallofree Medium Transport bound for Coruscant, a Devaronian approached Jack and asked him for some money. Never one to ignore those in need, Jack gave the Devaronian a few credits. The Devaronian, whose greed at this point had fully consumed him, then pulled a blaster on Jack and demanded all of his credits. When he resisted, the Devaronian shot Mariah and ran. Mariah's death shattered Jack's life and he was driven into a depression.

After ensuring that all of his family's wealth would be put into an account for the sole purpose of caring for his son, Jack struck out on his own into areas unknown. However, before he left, Jack offered words to his son, encouraging him with the fact that no matter what the world may throw at you, you can't abandon the world.
