Cirru Tan was not satisfied with the opportunities that were available to him on his native planet of Thyferra. When he became old enough, Cirru enrolled in a flight academy and learned the basics of order management as well as freighter and fighter piloting. He would also take supplemental classes in medicine and trading.

As years progressed, he found himself moving from one transport outfit to another. None of them had felt quite right, but always yielded a lesson to be learned. This would end, shortly, upon joining the crew of the Chor Bahkh. This motley YT-1300 crew consisted of a variety of sentients: Koya Nim (Togorian female), Tejar Quinn (Ryn male), Xi'Zen (Whiphid male), and Tasia Rookto (Duro female). His horizons would expand more with them than any previous outfit.

On Y13 D139, he joined the Tenloss Syndicate and worked his way up to E-3. He found working with Tenloss to be the fit that he was looking for. It encouraged him to be better and do more.

Unfortunately, good news would be mixed with bad. As he was being tapped to lead the newly acquired Huppla Pasa Tisc, Cirru Tan met his fate at the Dorin Outer Blackhole.
