The Fierfek Gladiators (Fierfek = poison in Huttese) are a dreaded, elite group of Klatooinians warriors. Originally working for the honorable Hutt Clan, the Fierfek Gladiators are now actively looking for new employers through the services of the Creators and their mercenary outfit, Natori Association.
Travelling in a worn-down, painted Nu-Class Attack Shuttle, they often hunted select and valuable targets all over the galaxy on the behest of their Hutt overlords. The twelve Klatooinians were taken from their homes at an early age, not knowing where they would end up. Eventually, they vowed allegiance to the Hutt Clan and have served whomever was in charge ever since.
The squad is very adept at using poison to their advantage. Using a special blend of Ryll and Silicartha, they coated their blades with the bright green poison or used little vials of it, mixed with an explosive agent to create makeshift bombs and it was even said the poison was dripping from their shields.

Outfit and Gear
Recognizable by their brown and green color scheme, the Fierfek Gladiators had a fairly basic outfit. They wore protective battle armor and tactical helmets that were installed with built-in poison gas masks after the tournament. The helmet was equipped with a HUD overlay that gave the wearer the most important information at any given time. The armor was simple, yet effective. There was a lot of room for poison vials and their crafting kits. The poison vials they carried were a blend of Ryll and Silicartha, making the afflicted weaker and weaker until eventually they had no power to resist.
Their vibroblades were custom-built by the Council’s best weaponsmiths. The blade itself contained a replaceable poison canister that was connected to a slit in the blade. That way the poison was guided towards the edge of the blade, where it could do damage to their opponents. The vibroblade was powered by a strong crystal and when turned on, the edge of the blade glowed softly and became extremely hot. The tower shield the Klatooinians carried around was mainly used for scenarios where they could be caught out under suppressive fire. These tall and large shields were excellent for slowly advancing towards an encamped enemy, but were also used against larger creatures such as the Acklay.
The Nu-class Attack Shuttle named “The Murishani” was outfitted with every single one of their needs. Part of the ship was retrofitted to hold a small kitchen, so Norith could cook for the group when needed. A large part was designed around a communal seating area, where the Gladiators spent most of their time. Close to the entrance was the Quartermaster’s Safe, where Wooro made sure all of their weapons were neatly stocked and ready for use. The ship had seen some combat and was damaged here and there, yet still fully efficient. Just like the Klatooinians, the Murishani was experienced but ready to go to the end of the world.
History
A Vague Report
When the story of the Fierfek Gladiators exactly started, nobody knows for sure. As with many things regarding this group, it’s shrouded in mystery and is full of urban legends. True or not, the earliest report dates from Year 21 BCGT. This report tells the tale of a truly remarkable group of Klatooinians and how the Hutts snatched them away from their mothers.
As they often do, the Hutt Clan flew around Klatooine villages in their luxurious Minstrel-class Space Yachts, looking for eligible Klatooinian younglings. When they landed in the village of Bellenau, a group of thirteen younglings of approximately the same age was found. These younglings were already so close-knit that the Hutt overseer Fiskhogg Toxeb thought it wise to bring them back with him for labor. However, Fiskhogg the Hutt did not realize their true potential when he put them in chains and loaded them up on his ship.
Months go by and Fiskhogg captured and stole more and more young sentients from all over Hutt Space. The Fierfek group saw Gamorreans, Toydarians, Nikto and Nimbanels join their slave quarters. None of them were sure where they were going, but one thing seemed certain. Fiskhogg had them in his power and his slimy chubby hands wouldn’t let go easily. Finally landing on the home planet of the Hutt, they were all ordered to work on his new palace. The palace was immense in size and cost and many of the younglings the Fierfek Gladiators were brought in with, died.
The report is unclear on how long they were slaves constructing that palace, but at some point their overlord got into a turf war with the former leader of the Hutt Clan. Quickly losing that war against a much more formidable opponent, the forces of the Hutt Clan took over Fiskhogg’s palace, before publicly executing him. The HC Grand Council were just about to decide to execute every slave as an example to other contesting Hutts, when one of the Klatooinians named Oyuna Vullen stepped forward and demanded trial by combat. The Council, amused by her proposal, chose their strongest Gamorrean bodyguard to represent them and made an improvised arena for them to fight in. To everyone’s surprise, the inexperienced Vullen managed to wear down the Gamorrean and ultimately defeat him.
Recognizing her resolve and quick wit, the Council was ready to bring her with them to Nar Shaddaa. However, Vullen declined and told them she only would go if she could take all of her twelve friends. In return, their new masters wanted to know how she was able to defeat their most experienced bodyguard. The female Klatooinian took a small flask out of her pocket and explained its toxic green contents inside. She told them she used her own mix of Silicartha and Ryll, making a mixture so toxic that it wears down the afflicted sentients very quickly. Thoroughly impressed, the Council moved all thirteen Klatooinians to their prison ships.
Working for the Hutt Clan
Years passed, and the Klatooinian group got extensive combat training. They were mostly tasked with minor convoy protection and some bodyguard assignments. Next to their combat training, the Fierfek Gladiators also received some kind of indoctrination. Because Klatooinian culture is for a large part based on loyalty to the vows they make, an elderly female Klatooinian named Nobi Cozru took care of them upon arrival on Nar Shaddaa. Nobi told them about the honorable Hutt Clan, how they took care of the people loyal to them and how they all prospered in their service. It didn’t take long before the Fierfek squad bent the knee and vowed to protect their Hutt overlords.
As the close group of friends were handed more and more important assignments, they earned an impressive amount of respect on Nar Shaddaa, though slaves. They became known for their unwavering loyalty, their intricate and complicated fighting style and the specialized gear they were using during their missions. High value targets were protected and equally important opponents were assassinated. They used the Nu-Class aptly named “Murishani” (Huttese for Bounty Hunter) to track down targets all over Hutt Space and even did some infiltration missions all the way to the core.
Things quickly changed when they were called upon to guard the main Council palace on the Smuggler’s Moon. Realizing they had reached the ceiling and that this was as good as things were going to get, one of the Fierfek group started to feel dismayed. Wostudo Sebo, now known as the thirteenth Klatooinian, began petitioning for the group to seize power themselves and become rulers of the Hutt Clan criminal syndicate. As true Klatooinian culture dictates, all of the other members under leadership of Oyuna Vullen rallied against Sebo for breaking his vow and cast him out without hesitation.
More time passed and as a reward for their loyalty, the squad received many gifts from the Council. Ranging from specialized, custom-made armor to unique vibroblades with little poison canisters in them, they were on top of the world. Eventually, Sebo returned with a small army to besiege the palace. In a fight for the history books, the Fierfek squad successfully defended their overlords and were able to kill their former brother.
A Turning Point
Killing Wostudo Sebo left a dent in the mental state of the Klatooinians. No matter what he might’ve done, they lived together for such a long time that it would be naïve to think it wouldn’t. Soon after, the Council requested their presence at an audience. The Hutts had decided to reward the squad with a chance to fight for their complete freedom. A family meeting was held where everyone got to speak their mind. Their guardian, Nobi the Elder, even gave them advice as they were trying to figure out their next steps. The Council wanted them to fight in the yearly Hutt Clan Gladiator Tournament, where the winning team gets rewarded their freedom. Of course, this came at great risk as most participants ended up dead or heavily wounded. After much deliberation and discussion the gang decided to enter the tournament and fight for their freedom.
The start date of the event drew closer and they had little time to prepare for what they were about to face. Teams from not only Hutt Space but all over the Outer Rim joined up, hoping to get the win and get the ultimate prize: 100 million credits and freedom from whatever master they were serving. The fights took place in a specially designed arena on a more sunny, yet unknown planet, attracting rich folks from all over the galaxy. First, the teams of twelve had to fight through a series of vicious creatures such as a Rancor and a Draigon, until eventually only four teams remained. Those teams then were pitted against each other in a larger arena, resembling a dense forest. The last team standing won the tournament.
The Fierfek Gladiators as they were now named, made their way through the first couple of creature squads with relative ease. The aggressive and quick Howlrunners were quickly defeated by a simple circular defensive formation using the squads huge tower shields. They had some trouble with the pair of Wampas, but eventually wore them down using their special poison blend. Their last challenge was a huge Acklay. The formidable beast was able to wound a few members of the squad, but eventually found himself surrounded and finished off by Vullen.
Running into a team that lost five members due to their encounter with a Rancor in the last creature round, the Fierfek Gladiators were able to get one more team out of the way without sustaining any more injuries. The final obstacle they encountered was a dreaded team of Kaleesh warriors. Known for their agility and nimbleness, they posed an extreme threat to the Klatooinians, who were used to deal with heavy suppressive fire or bigger, slower targets like the Acklay. Death’s Embrace, as they were called, were able to ambush them. The fight was dirty and messy and eventually it all came to the ingenuity of Arvis Bernard, the squad’s resident explosives expert, to turn the tide. Relying on their built-up tolerance for the poison’s toxins, Bernard dropped a poison-filled explosive in the middle of the skirmish, poisoning most of the Kaleesh. At that point the Klatooinians just had to hold on until the Kaleesh got weakened by the substance, giving them a chance to finish off their feared opponents.
Shortly after the conclusion of the tournament, the Vow the Fierfek Gladiators had taken was lifted by the Council in a ceremony. The squad wandered around the galaxy for a good while, before coming across a recruitment poster for the Creators. Soon after that, Architect Arishima convinced them to join up as mercenaries for hire. The deal included the Creators helping the squad to look for a new cause to pledge their Vow to, so that they might be useful to a new master once again.
