Garth Nuey (born Gotto Nosung) is smart, young Toydarian male who spent his formative years stuck on Toydaria before seizing opportunity and leaving his homeworld behind, searching for a stable income. In his travels, which began immediately following his departure from Toydaria, he has met many people from all walks of life. His pragmatic attitude has kept him out of trouble, and more importantly, free of any enemies.

Early Years
Toydaria
Garth Nuey was born and raised on Toydaria to an affluent couple, Jutto and Nina, father and mother, respectively. From an early age, Garth was groomed from birth to follow in his father's footsteps and continue his legacy as a second generation prize fighter. Unfortunately for Garth, his mother also pushed heavily for him to fight, but pugilism never suited him, and this fact was the driving force motivating his distancing himself from his parents.
He sometimes felt betrayed when his parents would force him to fight. They kept all the money themselves, of course, and when he wasn't fighting, he was training to fight. He could never adapt to that lifestyle, not in childhood, not in adolescence, and not in adulthood. As he got older, he became aware of chances to peel himself away from his parents' watch. For example, Garth once lied to his mother's sensibilities about having a girlfriend, also, Garth told his father once, "Dont' worry about it, pops. I was just seeing a friend real quick." Garth would do anything he could to get free time so he could relax.
As a young child who just began training to fight, he had trouble expressing his feelings. He would often lash out and slap other children, but as he matured he became more humble, especially about his abilities. He had no friends, until he met Sorblatte Grir, a Hutt, at a press conference following a fight. Garth in his career had fielded every stock question imaginable at these events until Sorblatte asked him, "Were you trying hard out there, cause you really walloped that guy good." Garth was taken aback by this. This question had followed an effortless win, but Garth hadn't given it much thought until Sorblatte's question. Was it effortless because the competition was weak or was it effortless because he was an incredibly talented fighter, Garth thought. After a rather long pause, Garth answered, "That guy was a strong fighter, and I respect greatly. He really pushed me to my limit." During the answer, Garth and Sorblatte made eye contact. Afterwards, Garth requested to speak with Sorblatte in private and it was there that Garth made his first friend.
In that private conversation, it came to light that Sorblatte was there at the request of his boss, who was a big fan of Garth's. Sorblatte's was also there with forged press credentials. After this conversation, Garth and Sorblatte kept in touch, and it wasn't hard because at that time they didn't live far apart. But the near locale left Garth disappointed because he could see Sorblatte living a carefree, fun life while he always had to train or diet.
So one day, when Garth got some free time, Garth said to Sorblatte, "Remember your telling me about your boss? Well, what's his name?" After stalling, Sorblatte refused to answer but he did excuse himself and quickly tapped a datapad. When he returned he told Garth he had an appointment to meet the person in charge. When the time came, Garth was cordial before meeting the first human he had ever met and her name is Jackie Speir. How Jackie got to Toydaria, Garth never found out. He was always puzzled why a human would live on a planet like Toydaria.
In their appointment, Jackie really gushed about her fandom but was disappointed when Garth told her he didn't like fighting. Jackie asked Garth what kind of life he wanted and he responded by saying a carefree, fun life like Sorblatte's. Jackie smiled when he said this and in their future meetings she would continue smiling. This was the beginning of their working partnership. The work wasn't violent but, depending on where you live, it may be considered illegal. The job lasted for several years, but Garth never was paid much.
Departure
The working relationship with Speir was incredibly fruitful for Garth. He was granted opportunities he would've never had had he not formed this partnership. He learned Huttese and Basic. He was receiving an income and he felt rich despite it being measly sum. He could, on his own, buy anything he wanted which made him feel happy. But this lifestyle was vehemently opposed by his father, and in all matters his mother supported his father. It was around this time that Jackie nicknamed Gotto Garth. The less time Garth spent with his parents, the more time he spent with Jackie. She really took him under her wing compared to the way she treated some of her other workers.
One day, while at a communal residence for Jackie's workers, Jackie approached Garth and whispered to him, asking him if he wanted to visit outer space. After getting over the initial shock, he obliged. But unfortunately Garth made the mistake of telling his parents about this trip. They forbid it but Garth was at the age where he could decide for himself and he told them this. His father responded by disowning him and throwing him out of the house. After that, his mind was made up. He'd be leaving. The next day Garth was in a ship ascending to orbit with Jackie.
Travels
Upon reaching orbit, Jackie taught Garth how to pilot a ship. They had many intimate conversations for the couple of days they stayed in near Toydaria. It was in these talks that Jackie decided to set him free, so to speak. She knew his potential as a hard worker and finding a satisfying place in this galaxy is what she wanted for Garth. They descended one last time to let Jackie off, and Garth said goodbye to Sorblatte and all of Jackie's workers and Jackie herself.
Garth left his homeworld behind, entered hyper, and began travelling the galaxy for several months. It was fun, lots of fun. But it wasn't paying the bills. Garth set his mind on finding a high paying job and succeeded. He is now living comfortably, working, and enjoying life.

Personality & Abilities
Since maturing he has mellowed and lost the mean streak that he had when he was younger. He will go to great lengths to please people he cares about. Needless to say, Garth lives a rather peaceful life. He almost never takes risks. He still stays fit, training occasionally despite being retired from competition for many years. In his line of work he has many subordinates who look to him for instruction and guidance. He willingly teaches them what they'll need to know to finish the job quickly.
