The Golden Tiarra plant is one of the most exsquisite ornamental plants ever introduced to the market. The fantastic golden flowers form a half crown shape, from which the Golden Tiarra gets its name.

Taxonomy

The Golden Tiarra is a unique flower in that it does not exist in the wild. It was created accidentally in a science lab. Researchers were attempting to combine the flowering capability of Blue Ois ( Ilustis ois ) with the hardiness of Dur raske the Yellow Stera. The resulting hybrid inherited neither of the traits the researchers desired, instead inheriting the yellow flowers of the stera, and the fragile nature of the ois. After several tries, the researchers gave up and threw out the resulting seeds. A curious lab technician took some of the seeds home and attempted to grow them. While only some of the seeds sprouted, the ones that did produced the gorgeous flower cluster of the Golden Tiarra. Immediately recognizing what he had, the lab tech took the the sprouted plants to his superiors. They too recognized what they had and began cross-pollinating the Blue Ois and the Yellow Stera extensively. Research began immediately and within the year, the Golden Tiarra was introduced to the market.

Gardening

The Golden Tiarra is extremely popular among horticulturalists across the galaxy. It graces office buildings and government buildings, as well as countless private dwellings. However it cannot be planted outside and, because it is a hybrid, it cannot reproduce itself. It requires minimal temperature fluctuations and continuous light throughout the entire day. However, despite these drawbacks, the gorgeous flowering arrangement has made the Golden Tiarra exceptionally popular. It frequently is used in weddings as part of the bride's headdress.
