Ladies, gentlemen and lesser lifeforms of the Imperial Galaxy,
Today, the Imperial Ministry of State has released the following statement:
Yesterday, His Majesty, Emperor Vodo Bonias has accepted the retirement of Vice Admiral Zerk of the Imperial Navy. The Vice Admiral has worked throughout his career for the betterment of one of the Empire's most valuable and effective weapons: the Imperial Navy. Just before accepting Vice Admiral Zerk's retirement, the Emperor has honoured him with the Fleet Service Cross.
Vice Admiral Zerk has agreed to continue his efforts for the Empire and has accepted the responsibilities of Chief-of-Staff. From now on, in this special -civilian- capacity, the retired Admiral will perform various duties to promote the continued glory of the Galactic Empire. We are afraid that further details as to his duties cannot be released at this moment, as per directive of COMPNOR.
As a direct result of Vice Admiral Zerk's retirement, the Emperor has decided to give the next generation of promising Imperial Naval officers a chance to prove themselves. The Ministry of State extends its congratulations and would like to wish the following, recenlty promoted, officers the very best in their careers:
Vice Admiral Agoff
Vice Admiral Machkhit
Rear Admiral Crog
Rear Admiral Kaine
Commodore Slicer
Captain Thorne
In other news, investigations led by MJ-12, in conjunction with COMPNOR, have led to the arrest and subsequent execution of Imperial officers suspected of engaging in piracy, treason, espionage and various other dispicable crimes. Their relatives have been located and denied the usual casualty-of-war pension. Instead, they have been apprehended and hung until death on Uebles Square, together with their treacherous kin. No further treason shall spawn from their genes. Unfortunately, there is no footage available. Once again, further details have not been released, as per directive of COMPNOR.
But not only the Emperor's secret services are busy clearing His Galaxy of the scum of the universe. For their efforts in countering the pirate threat, the following officers have been merited:
2nd Lieutenant Hovstad Stockmann, Imperial Army:
Imperial Army Distinguished Service Medal
Lieutenant Bren Morgarr, Imperial Navy:
Imperial Navy Distinguished Service Medal
Both Flight Corporal Adam Zad, Imperial Navy and Flight Sergeant Jason Aran, Imperial Navy:
A Letter of Commendation from His Majesty Himself
Let their commitment be an example to all Imperials, officers, troops, public officials and citizens alike.
