KeLeo Kiffiax
KeLeo Kiffiax is the only son of a Kiffar prince gone rogue. If anyone knows who his mother even was, no one has said a word about it to the collector turned entrepreneur. It's said that the information is worth big credits, but it is also said that Kiffiax has certain dark powers so the information had better be true.
When his father abandoned his royal family in a rage that KeLeo believes had to do with his mother's death, the path he took to the stars was far too dangerous for his precious child. KeLeo was hidden away from all possible enemies to be raised by droids. His father knew only too well that no one else in the galaxy could be trusted with the life he now valued above all others.
So KeLeo grew, educated in a variety of things that the droids' programming informed them would be useful, and educated too by his own voracious reading. As he struggled to satisfy his raging curiosity regarding things outside of his small sterile sphere and to make sense of himself, he turned to art, spending long hours creating spectacular images of the things in his mind. If KeLeo wondered about his mother, or missed his father, these were thoughts the Kiffar princeling kept to himself.
Eventually all communication with his father ceased and the boy, now thirteen, spent over two agonizing years waiting for them to resume. They never did. Slowly, in his very soul, the princeling came to the realization that his father had died. He faced a choice then. Would he continue on the solitary road he was on? Rejoin his clan? He was Kiffar, fearless by blood and birth, and chose a third option. Establishing mastery of the droids that had been his keepers up til then, he set out on his own journey,
He took his droid retinue with him, of course. They were the only family that he had left and, as he searched for the answers to the questions that plagued his young heart, he was determined to care for the droids as they had cared for him. What had happened to his parents? Patient as any non-sentient, without regard for the time it took, he haunted places where people disposed to talk gathered. When he could do so without drawing too much attention, the boy asked questions, and his quick droid-trained mind, filed the answers for later. Travelers especially fascinated him and after long days of listening, the boy would create evocative images before falling asleep. Some of these he would sell, and thus he kept a full belly and a dry head.
He took jobs here and there, but nothing kept his young mind and body involved for very long. He would learn the trade and move on. He grew. He searched for his answers between jobs, but found nothing. He discovered a passion for ships as art and began a collection of both. Eventually, trying his hand at mining he met Hinds, a Defel that caught his attention by being the first sentient outside his father that the young man felt a kinship for. The two became like brothers, each finally having someone to watch his back, in a galaxy that is hard on those young and alone.
KeLeo did not spend the credits he made on his various jobs rashly. He invested it, doubled it, tripled it and more. He discovered gambling and a talent for it. He started his own business, selling-- not his precious and prized droid family-- but sentients, slaves, just one more commodity and a profitable one at that. He opened gambling dens and brothels and the credits went to more art, more ships, more droids.
When the hubbub and business of the galaxy grew too much, he retired to the solitude of his hidden stations manned, not by the slaves he sold, but by droids. And then he would come back out and his businesses would grow.
Rumor has it that the Kiffar is in the process of expanding his operations currently. He has been overheard in certain circles saying that expansion is the price of freedom, but some sentients that have fallen in with young man say that they think, that in his dark and quiet way, the Kiffar prince is still looking for a family...
After the theft of many GE cities, KeLeo was trapped on board a ship belonging to the Confederacy of Independent Systems. CIS had been called in to assist Aurodium Legion in capturing the Dark Jedi, after Dorn Zeke placed a 200 million credit bounty on his head. It has been said that KeLeo now lives out his days in the prison cell controlled by Rawth Shacklefist.
