Description
‘Khyron’s Madness’ is a Republic gunship painted in the Red/Black/Dark Grey and White colour scheme of Robotech Industries. She is a small squat vehicle capable of atmospheric flight.
History
The Republic Gunship Known as ‘Khyron’s Madness’ was constructed during the final months of the Clone Wars. It served with the 124th Clone Engineers Battalion, during the third battle of Geonosis. There it transported small groups of Clone Troops to a large minefield that had been placed around their main command post. The members of the 124th cleared the minefield quickly under heavy fire, clearing the minefield so that heavily armed Clone Commandoes could storm the command centre and bring the battle to a swift conclusion. After that battle it was moved on to the planet Felucia where it moved troops around and had the distinction of delivering the Clone Troopers which killed Jedi Master Quothar Vilnes, after they were given the infamous ‘Order 66’.
Following the end of the Clone Wars, the now Empire sold off all their stocks of Republic Gunships as they replaced them for more up-to-date ships. ‘Khyron’s Madness was at various times crashed, rebuilt and then shot up, repaired and sold again. One notable owner was the Republic Medical Rescue Services, as short lived company who used the gunships, stripped of weapons to pick up the wounded in heavily contested battle zones. RMS unfortunately found they struggled to retain pilots and recruit new ones despite them paying top wages to combat pilots, as the old gunships were not particularly well defended.
Before changing hands more than a few times before being purchased by Robotech Industries.
Khyron The Bloodstained
Khyron Talyc, Khyron the Bloodstained, was an ancient Mandalorian warlord known for his harsh command of his men and his willingness to commit his troops, even at the cost of their lives. Khyron was bloodthirsty, even for a Mandalorian and he delighted in the slaughter of battle. He often led his men from the front ranks, leading them with little regard for their safety or his own. His troops began to question his willingness to sacrifice his own men and after a particularly costly fight they confronted him. Some of those troops directly began to question the orders that had led to such loss of lives. He just laughed it off telling them it was war and people die during war, but this line of questioning angered him and he ordered those who had questioned him arrested. He issued orders that they should be executed, but once they had been rounded up he carried out the executions personally. His troops began to call him Khyron the Mad after one particularly savage waste of life and it was shortly after this his men turned on him and extinguished his life.
