Corporate History

In Year -120 (CGT), Regalis Engineering started off as a small-outfit company under the Lygian Family, providing an assortment of general goods and gear for spacers. Over time, Regalis Engineering gained success, being highly valued by customers for their high-quality goods and perfect customer satisfaction, and expanded itself to begin producing heavy equipment. However, expansion stalled as the profits from their sales were too low; the higher costs due to extensive quality control, the usage of quality materials, and overall higher production costs drove profits to be negligible. This peaked in Year 17, as a power struggle within the company pushed Regalis Engineering to the edge of financial stability.

But in Year 17 Day 80, with Archie's personal investment and design, an entirely new Fashion Department has been created, focusing on providing high-end luxury items to private clients.

Corporate Structure

Regalis Engineering is composed of nine Departments, each with its own focus on a specific aspect of the entire company: Production & Operations, Finance & Sales, Research and Development, Marketing & Sales, Human Resources & Security. The Directors of these five department, the Executive Officers: the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Chief Technical Officer (CTO), and finally, a representative of the investors make up the nine seats on the Executive Board. Each Executive Officer and Director gets one vote, and 10 votes are split among the investors depending on their percentage of ownership of Regalis Engineering. All final decisions are decided by the Executive Board, which require a majority vote to be approved. Most seats on the Executive Board are held by key family members of the Lygian Family, yet outsiders and outcasts of the Lygian Family have been able to secure a few of the seats due to being given stocks of Regalis Engineering, investing into Regalis Engineering during its initial public offering, or earning the position outright.

Within the Executive Board, there are currently four factions vying for control of Regalis Engineering, the same factions which are vying control of the Lygian Family: the Old Guard, Iron Guard, Imperial Guard, and Shadow Guard.

The Old Guard is comprised of CFO Klaus Lygian, CTO Geneve Lygian and Director of Production & Operations Isold Lygian. They are actively working towards disposing of Kaylynn Lygian as CEO, owning 36% of Regalis Engineering and barely having enough votes to do so. By controlling most of the production within Regalis Engineering, the Old Guard is by far the wealthiest faction of the four; they invest the credits of Regalis Engineering into the Old Guard's infrastructure and produce the entities of Regalis Engineering under the Old Guard. While they meet the production quotas required for the investments they receive, the resulting infrastructure created by the investments is directly added to the Old Guard's holdings. Decades of this practice has led to the Old Guard owning the majority of the territory and production capacities of Regalis Engineering. In addition, most of the employees of Regalis Engineering are from the Old Guard, thus, preventing this cycle from being arrested.

The Iron Guard only has 3% ownership of Regalis Engineering and has one Director on the Executive Board, Jarvis Lygian. However, as the security of Regalis Engineering is mostly covered by the personnel of the Iron Guard, the Iron Guard could, hypothetically, seize control of the entire corporation by force. This possibility gives the Iron Guard enough influence to not be forcefully evicted from Regalis Engineering and greater influence in the decisions of the Executive Board.

The Imperial Guard is comprised of CEO Kaylynn Lygian and Vandal Archibald. They collectively own 36% of Regalis Engineering and barely have enough votes to keep Kaylynn as CEO. As Kaylynn is still the CEO, the Imperial Guard has great influence over the workings of Regalis Engineering. The recent creation of a sub-department for Luxury Goods under the Marketing & Sales Department has given Vandal Archibald additional influence over the company. Due to the tremendous acclaim and success of the Luxury Goods Department, the Imperial Guard has been able to stabilize their grasp on Regalis Engineering and the situation has improved from before.

The Shadow Guard's influence and power over Regalis Engineering is not publicly known. However, most of the Lygian Family believes that Gunther Steel is being supported by the Shadow Guard. Gunther Steel, a bastard of the Lygian Family, was only able to attain his position due to the influence of the mysterious stockholder Visogast. In addition, there has been pressure from foreign interests and groups onto Regalis Engineering to expand their operations and open their businesses to alternative practices, and many speculate that this is due to the work of the Shadow Guard.

The Lygian Brand is a label under the general Regalis brand for exclusive luxury goods, created solely for the use of the Lygian Family. A few items of this Lygian Brand are in extreme high-demand to the galactic elite, often being sold for millions of credits. These luxury goods are the pinnacle of quality craftsmanship and are made of the most expensive raw materials, only being handled by the master artisans of the Lygian Family.

Lygian Vintage Blackwater Cognac

One of the few limited-releases of the exclusive Lygian line, normally reserved for members of the Lygian Family, was available to exclusive buyers in Year 17. Only three of the nine bottles of the Vintage Blackwater Cognac were released through private sales to galaxy's elite, with the rest reserved and stored in the catacombs of the Lygian Family.

Distilled with the finest Kuati grapes raised with precision viticulture, it has a refined, delicate and fragrant taste that rivals, perhaps even surpasses, some of the galaxy's finest brandies. These Kuati grapes were harvested on the Winter Solace, producing juice that contained 12% alcohol content and further flavored with the essence of naturally-picked cyanoberries. Fermenting naturally for a century, the juice was then distilled twice and casked in three hundred year-old scentwood casks, rich in tannin and vanillin for increasing the maturation rate of the cognac. Stored within the catacombs of the Lygian family, the cognac aged finely for one hundred and seventeen years. The extremely long maturation time is due to the refusal of Lygian viniculturists and distillers to distill the cognac with other brandies or distilled water, desiring to keep the integrity of the cognac. Finally, the cognac was bottled by hand, held within a black orichalcum decanter with the insignia of Regalis and Regalis in Aurebesh gilded with gold leaf.

A Kuati cut three piece suit comes with a black inner vest and pocketsquare, a formal black jacket and tie, and a pressed Kuati silk white shirt.
