Talk:Holocron:This Week in History/Day 132
Any reason why this is only ordered by day and not year? To be honest, when I saw it first I didn't even realise that it was ordered in such a way, it seemed random, and I can see this causing confusion with events such as the yearly NR CoS elections for example. I looked to the list for a good example and they weren't there just when I wanted it to prove a point, but according to the NR site their 6th Chief of state Taka was elected on D3, and their 5th Aves Sunfell was elected on D6. Clearly in different years, but that's not how they would be ordered in the list. One week we could have a few NR and GE specific events, as they're mentioned a lot, which could cause confusion when out of order. --Azarin Isard 09:54, 14 April 2011 (GMT)
- That was the format used from the very start of the column - Holocron:This_Week_in_History/Day_90. The idea is to present the events as they happened on the days of the week not as they happened chronologically... The latter can be seen in the Timeline itself.
- Once we have enough events and some extensions installed and properly programmed I imagine this column could be transformed into dynamically changeable "This Day in History".
- I guess we could make that a bit more apparent by moving the year behind the day, ala Holocron:This_Week_in_History/Day_139... --Xanyarr Chyakk 10:23, 16 April 2011 (GMT)
