The Blood Ring of Darth Velhor
The Blood Ring of Darth Velhor | |
Type | Artifact of Sith |
The Blood Ring, was an force forged artifact that belonged to Darth Velhor, an Sith who served in The Brotherhood of Darkness which was active for a short time during the New Sith Wars ( 2000 BCGT - 1000 BCGT ). Darth Velhor died at the Seventh Battle of Ruusan, where both Sith and Jedi armies were utterly decimated. The ring itself was later found during an archaeological excavation of one of the battlefields, but later was stolen by a thief when it was being transferred to the Jedi Archives for the further studies.
Forged around 1000 BCGT in the fires of the great volcano of Imilar at Dathomir by the Darth Velhor himself, the ring was intended to symbolize the raw power of the Darkside, as it glowed bright red when life was extinguished nearby. It is believed that the ring contained a cut force crystal that was attuned to the force itself, and as such could react to when any life was extinguished, as the action left a wound in the Force, which could be detected by force sensitive objects or sentients.
