Any officer at or above the rank of the recipient. Must be approved by the recipient's squadron commander or higher.

Distinguished Flying Cross |

Awarded for a pilot who performed exceptionally to complete the duties he/she was given. Can be awarded by a squadron CO. |
The Squadron Commander of the recipient, or his/her immediate supervisor (above Squadron commander) or higher in the Chain of Command. Must be approved by the recipient's Fleet Commander.

Distinguished Service Cross |
|
Awarded to those members who served in any capacity, in a manner above and beyond the call of duty to complete the tasks they were given that were mission critical. |
The Squadron Commander of the recipient, or his/her immediate supervisor (above Squadron commander) or higher in the Chain of Command. Must be approved by CinC.

Awarded to those who have shown exceptional valor in the face of the enemy. |

Awarded to those who have shown outstanding valor in the face of the enemy. |
Must be recommended by at least one officer at or above the recipients rank, approved by the Squadron Commander of the recipient, or his/her immediate supervisor (above Squadron commander) or higher in the Chain of Command. Must be approved by CinC.

Awarded to those who have shown awe-inspiring valor in the face of the enemy. |
Must be recommended by at least two officers at or above the recipients rank, approved by the Squadron Commander of the recipient, or his/her immediate supervisor (above Squadron commander) or higher in the Chain of Command. Must be approved by CinC.

Medal of Honor |

Awarded to those who have shown a dedication to the cause, who have performed above and beyond the call of duty, who have shown awe-inspiring valor in the face of the enemy, AND who have brought credit to themselves AND the JTSF |
Must be recommended by at least two officers above the rank of the recipient, and two members below the rank of the recipient. Must be approved by CinC.
