The Ashuun is a Dreadnaught-class Heavy Cruiser owned by Paul Luz. Luz purchased and outfitted the vessel to be the flag ship of the citizens defense force for the Hassaria system when it was under the supervision of House Arkoh. After the end of the Trade Federation's House System and Luz's retirement from the Federation itself, Paul took the warship to his shipyard in the Bamula sector to prepare it for its next phase of life. During his time with Con Semper and Arkoh, Luz had become a scholar of the force and a collector of Force-related artifacts and knowledge. At his age and with his health, it was becoming increasingly difficult for Luz to go hunting for these artifacts himself. It was also increasingly adventageous to go about his work anonymously. The Ashuun would serve both purposes. It would be home base for a crew of trained mercenary artifact hunters, so Luz would not have to be personally involved in their aqcuisition while still filling his archives and storehouses with priceless treasures to research.

After it was outfitted with some preservation and archival modules, Luz contracted Ralgadorr Bujold, a decorated commander retired from the Trade Federation navy to command the vessel and its crew. The Ashuun is a Dreadnaught-class Heavy Cruiser flown in service to the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars.

War Service

The earliest surviving records of the Ashuun indicate it was acquired by the Andoan Defense Force, a regional militia in the Lambda Sector. The destruction of the Andoan Defense Headquarters during the war and the plethora of replacement parts make it impossible to know its exact origin or date of construction. Leading up to 25 BGCT the warship expanded Andoan influence across the sector and played a role in regional disputes. Ando was among the first systems to join the Separatist movement, and the Ashuun, commanded by captain Alpi Burpo, was soon a part of the Confederacy of Independent Systems 7th fleet.

The ship first saw action in the Lambda Sector, pressuring other systems to join the Separatist cause or cease support for the Republic. The Ashuun took heavy damage trying to repel the Republic assault on the Ando system in late 25 BGCT, and received repairs and upgrades for two standard months before being reassigned to the 4th fleet, which was defending the key Separatist stronghold in Dolomar. Captain Burpo received a promotion within the 7th fleet, and the Ashuun came under the command of captain Gellu Vev. The ship narrowly escaped destruction when the Republic overran Dolomar following the Separatist assault on Kamino in 24 BGCT- one of the few vessels of the 4th fleet to survive. For the rest of the war the Ashuun served once again in the 7th fleet, harassing Republic hyperspace routes near Kamino.

Post-War Service

After the execution of the Separatist leadership on Vinsoth, the surviving ships of the 7th fleet were ordered to Bianquaros. The obviously desperate last stand all but promised death and the sentient crew members of the Ashuun mutinied against captain Vev and the droid compliment aboard the vessel. The crew succeeded in taking control of their warship, but their numbers were insufficient to operate most of the systems and they fled with their prize deeper into the Outer Rim. There they turned to piracy and dodged the nascent Empire's attempt to eliminate all former Separatist personnel. Facing poverty after several years of failed pirating, the crew sold the vessel to a rebel cell in 17 BCGT. After briefly serving as a mobile headquarters for the rebel cell, it was relegated to transport work as the cell became better equipped and the rebel alliance grew. It was held back from the front lines of the war against the Galactic Empire, and was eventually sold to a private force to fund the rebel cause. In Year 8, the ship was no longer deemed space worthy and was sold to an outer rim scrap dealer. It sat in a scrap yard and was scavenged for pieces over the next decade.

In Year 17, what was left of the ship was purchased by captain Krab Rafdar, a Separatist verteran of the Clone Wars. Rafdar set out restore the ship and fit it for duty once again. In Year 21, Krab and the Ashuun assisted in the War for the Republic, giving the warship its major taste of combat in almost two decades. It performed admirably. After helping liberate the Calaast and Koiogra systems from Imperial control, the crew of the Ashuun returned to the mercenary life, defending trade stations and mining operations in the Grohl Sector.
