Born in equal parts from the drive to create new biological and chemical weaponry, the desire to expand business, and – perversely – save lives, Sienar Pharmaceuticals is the most recent addition to the Sienar Conglomerate. The new company is dedicated to producing top quality and attractively priced medical and pharmaceutical products. Thus, in a short space of time, Sienar has become one of the galaxy’s leading producers of pharmaceutical products, medical equipment, droids, vehicles, and even hospital stations and ships.
The company was originally begun as a small weapons research laboratory. The lab had fallen on hard times when Sienar purchased it after one of its leading managers, Thylar Davarian, became interested in the business possibilities of new weapons and contacted his good friend Chelle Enaid, a Sienar employee on temporary loan to, though highly placed within, the lab’s management through a contract with Sienar. Together, they negotiated with the then owner to purchase the failing lab. They also quickly realized that weapons alone would not make the company successful. Thus the business model was expanded to include traditional bacta products and equipment, as well as medical droids, equipment, and ships. The Sienar Conglomerate brings its longstanding expertise in producing a wide variety of equipment to its newest member which permits sales at very competitive prices. Research is currently being conducted into prosthetics and innovative nanobots. Management is confident these products will soon reach the market.
Sienar Pharmaceuticals, along with Sienar Extractions and Sienar Technologies, are often collectively (though unofficially) referred to as the Sienar Conglomerate.
