The DL-44 is one of the most popular weapons BlasTech ever produced. While its design gives it a short range, the DL-44 is extremely powerful for a hand-held weapon. Among its distinguishing features is its cautionary pulser grip, which provides a slight vibration through the usergrip when the power pack is getting low. It is a weapon used by gunmen, smugglers, and other dangerous people with quick reflexes, keen peripheral vision, and a willingness to do anything for survival, very dangerous in the hands of a skilled gunman. The weapon is extremely powerful and it can kill a human in a single shot. The weapon is sometimes seen with the Rebel troops, and the weapon is capable of piercing armor killing sentients where other weapons could not.
