Childhood
Chaul was brought up on the planet of Coruscant by his Shipyard worker father and his mother who was widely known in their local area as a prostitute and ryll addict. His father worked long hours and Chaul found that his mother was often pre-occupied with her habits so he was left to fend for himself.
He was short as a child and often the object of ridicule among his peers, so found himself finding different ways to entertain himself and often getting into trouble with his cheek and lack of respect for others. While not actually bad in character he found that this was often a form of self-defence.
As he grew older he found different ways to entertain himself. His confidence had grown somewhat and he started to frequent the local taverns. He got into many a fight as his mother's reputation was still prominent in the community and he started drinking to the point where he could not remember anything, wondering where the bruises on his knuckles had come from the next day on many occasion. He joked around and would wind up other people, almost daring them to be confrontational. He loved it.
