Early in her life, Nayla Kaui considered herself an unattractive girl due to her physical appearance was often mistaken as a boy. She despised the opposite sex – the thought of going through the pain of rejection over and over was heart wrenching. She was the only daughter of poor Thyferran slaves – his father [...], who worked on a alazhi farm, and mother [...], a herbalist. The family was never paid for their hard work, which left Nayla embittered towards slavery and oppression. She always helped both her family growing and processing the alazhi, and selling the bacta to medics in the market. Sometimes while they were out selling their wares, she had a chance to observe the medics treating the injured. Amazed by their skill, she tried to learn the medicine herself, assisted those in need. She was then eventually encountered the local Vratix Chief Medic - Doctor Spree Razzix. Even though there were slight communication and cultural gap between a Thyferran and a Vratix, however the two would eventually get along sooner or later. Seeing Nayla’s ability to learn fast, and her passion for healing, often allowed her to stay and practice with the team. She quickly became ambitious and interested, and persuaded her parents several times to let her join the team. Initially her parents reluctantly disallowed her to leave the hometown and even the planet for safety reason and so was Doctor Spree. Nonetheless, seeing the ambition burning with passion inside her heart, considering her welfare in the future, at last after several arguments her family let and blessed the only daughter to join, and so, Nayla’s journey to save injured souls around the galaxy has begun since she joined Xucphra at the age of fifteen.
