Maverick was the second recorded Supreme Commander of the Rebel Alliance. He gained the position by crushing his predecessor, Jacen Lord, in a revolt.
During his leadership, no less than eleven challenges were made against Maverick, who relied on a number of key figures to maintain control and peace within the Alliance, including Jeremy Slavin, Senator Dreadguy, KnnOs, Wedge Achilles, and Enn Seasee. The most substantial of these challenges was made by the elusive Hooded Men.
