Impa Xio was born on a forgotten planet in the Outer Rim and raised among the stars. Brought up in a traditional Anzati family unit, he learned to live and feed off of the "Soup" or "Luck" of sentient life forms. Mentored by his parents, Impa never called any one place home for long. While most other species have tendencies toward parental bonding; typical Anzati families are bound by a predatory focus on consumption and propagation of the species. When he came of age, Impa split from his parents to feed on his own, and like many Anzati Impa did not maintain contact with his parents past adulthood.

Over time Impa began to notice a peculiar shift in his own priorities. His lust for "Soup" - while ever present - started to conflict with (and even take a backseat to) his craft. What was at one time a means, eventually became an end. Struggling with his nature for the first time in life, his worldview would slowly warp. Were the Anzati truly the apex creatures he'd been raised to believe? The question obsessed him and he slowly but surely came to the conclusion that there had to be more.
Impa's lust for "Soup" was as strong as any other Anzati, but he began to develop an appreciation for the world and circles he moved in. Conflicted, he became more and more concerned about his future and what his hunger would lead to. Struggling with his nature for the first time in life, his worldview would slowly warp. The conception of the Anzati as great Apex predators was no longer as monolithic an idea as he had been raised to believe. On a quest for new purpose, his travels would eventually lead him to the Woldona sector where he found a permanent position with [[The Exchange]].
 
For the first time, Impa adopted a name with perminence and sought to integrate into galactic society. Meals were made sparse to discipline his appetite. "Soup" was consumed over time rather than overnight. Soon enough he grounded himself in the Woldona sector and found lasting work with [[The Exchange]].
