Biography

Niera in her early years, attending a university of computer science and mechanical engineering in her homeworld Thyferra.

Early Years

Niera was born on the planet Thyferra in Year -6, Day 56 to Jonathan and Lynn Crukx. The family was decently off and so Niera was able to enjoy the comforts of a well-educated childhood. After she graduated high school, she was eager to study computer science and mechanical engineering at a university near her hometown. She aimed to be at the top of her class and managed to accomplish a straight 90% in her final exam. It was there and then that she knew a life in space would be a reasonable goal, with a position within the admirable Galactic Empire being the ultimate goal. However, she had to be realistic and started at working at the now-defunct ASMI Semiconductors Limited, after saying goodbye to her parents. She would find herself being employed at the Research and Development department of the company. She was to research new findings in security and also assigned to improve both the combative capabilities of battle droids and surveillance drones and the more practical uses of astromech droids.

At age 26, due to the sudden bankruptcy of ASMI, she was forced to wander the sector for work. Eventually, she found a promising lead to the Void Initiative and submitted a job application via mail.

The Void Initiative

After some time, her request to join the Initiative was accepted and she was sent to work as a second lieutenant, tasked with [redacted]. Albeit not in her usual tech-y occupation, but she will have to manage. This is where those late night hours in the simulations will come into play.

Niera always had an affinity for technology and oddities. As such, during her downtime, she could often be found tinkering with games, software and simulations. She would also sometimes visit some of the galaxy's auctions and display, such as the Fairwind Exotics Auctions at Ord Cantrell.
