Biography

Background

Jaryn was born on Year -10 Day 134 to Larin Dakelh, only daughter of the head of Clan Dakelh, and Jax Valentine, a Corellian businessman and mobster. The pair met when Jax had travelled to Kiffar as part of his company Valentine Ventures' new project, which involved establishing a greater business and tourist presence on the planet through the construction of luxury hotels and casinos. This was initially met with a hostile response from Clan Dakelh, the local Kiffar clan who lived by the rivers near to the proposed construction site. Jax and a number of his employees travelled to Dakelh territory in order to negotiate with the clan and put a stop to any potential hostilities. He met the chief's daughter, Larin, at the feast to welcome the outsiders. Larin was a fighter at heart, a warrior who had been training nearly her entire life. Yet she was also very curious about the outside world and slowly became infatuated with Jax as they got to know one another. As time went on, negotiations began to sour as the Chief disapproved of the time Jax and Larin had been spending together. Jax decided that it was time to leave before things got any worse, and when he pulled his company out of the area he invited Larin to leave her life behind and join him in travelling the galaxy. Larin had a difficult choice, having to either renounce her love and respect the wishes of the clan and her father, or follow her heart and leave her entire past behind. She did, however ultimately decide to join Jax as he left the planet and the two were married soon after.
