At about 5 foot 8, Niera stands relatively short compared to the Thyferran median. She can usually be found wearing formal attire or a uniform; presentation is key in representing a company.
Biography
Early Years
Niera was born on the planet Thyferra in Year -6, Day 56 to Jonathan and Lynn Crukx. The family was decently off and so Niera was able to enjoy the comforts of a well-educated childhood. After she graduated high school, she was eager to study computer science and mechanical engineering at a university near her hometown. She aimed to be at the top of her class and managed to accomplish a straight 90% in her final exam. It was there and then that she knew a life in space would be a reasonable goal, with a position within the admirable Galactic Empire being the ultimate goal. However, she had to be realistic and so she started working at ASMI Semiconductors Limited, after saying goodbye to her parents. Niera would find herself being employed at the Research and Development department of the company and she primarily researched new findings in security. She would also work on improving both the combative capabilities of battle droids and surveillance drones and the more practical uses of astromech droids.
At age 26, due to the sudden bankruptcy of ASMI, she was forced to wander the sector for work. Eventually, she found a promising lead to the Void Initiative and submitted a job application via mail.
The Void Initiative
After some time, her request to join the Initiative was accepted. She hoped that this new beginning, and with it the new opportunities, would give her another chance to thrive in the galaxy. Luckily, she was decently able to adapt to her new job in the Void Initiative.
Due to [redacted], her training was cut short on Y21D199. To her surprise, she was promptly promoted to first lieutenant on Y21D202.

Hobbies and Pastimes
Niera always had an affinity for technology and oddities. As such, during her downtime, she could often be found tinkering with games, software and simulations. She would also sometimes visit some of the galaxy's auctions and display, such as the Fairwind Exotics Auctions at Ord Cantrell.
