Rannah Lecyllath was born into the ancient and prestigious Lecyllath family, whose noble lineage can be traced back for millennia on the planet of Serenno in the Outer Rim. Despite their once noble standing in Serennian society, the family's fortunes have ebbed and flowed over the millennia, leaving them firmly entrenched in the upper echelons of the middle class at present. Today, they are known for their political savvy, with members of the family serving as advisors, stewards, and lobbyists in the local government.
Rannah's mother, a rising star in the family's political sphere, managed to become the trusted advisor of a powerful noble when Rannah was born. Growing up, Rannah was privy to a life of relative comfort, rubbing shoulders with the local nobility through her mother's connections. However, she always felt like an outsider in these circles since she was not of noble birth. Nevertheless, she had a natural talent for politics and diplomacy, which led her to attend a legislative youth program, where she quickly became a skilled orator and learned the intricacies of planetary and interstellar governance.
It was during her time in the youth program that Rannah first experienced the vastness of the galaxy. Her travels to nearby planets awakened a deep desire within her to explore beyond the confines of her homeworld. She yearned to make a name for herself in the wider galactic community and to leave her mark on the universe. Her family, always eager to have one of their own in the halls of influence and power, encouraged the young Serennian to realise her ambitions, despite her mother’s silent dissatisfaction that her daughter would not remain on the planet to follow in her footsteps. Thus, at the age of twenty one, Rannah departed from her homeworld of Serenno. After attending several recruitment and jobs fairs in the D’astan and neighbouring sectors she applied for citizenship within the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Currently, she is employed within the Confederacy's government branch as a publicist.

Biography
Origins (Pre-3 CGT)
In Year 3, Rannah was born to Jennah Lecyllath and her husband Romil Darju, and became the scion of an ancient and prestigious Serennian bloodline called the Lecyllath family, whose noble lineage could be traced back to the days of the Old Republic. At various points in Serennian history, the family had played roles of varying significance in the governance and politics of the planet for generations, during which they had belonged to the Serennian nobility at one point.
However, despite their respectable standing in Serennian society, the family's fortunes had ebbed and flowed over the years. At times, they were among the wealthiest and most influential families on the planet, and at other times, they found themselves struggling to maintain their position in the upper echelons of society. While today they no longer hold any titles of nobility, the Lecyllaths are known for their political savvy, with members of the family serving as advisors, stewards, and lobbyists in the local government.
Yet, many dark rumours surround the Lecyllath family, and in particular to their initial rise to power. They were rumoured to be descendants of a Sith Lord native to Serenno who lived four millennia ago, during the period that Serenno was occupied by the ancient Sith Empire. The Sith Lord was said to have left behind a legacy of manipulation, ambition, and ruthless cunning that was passed down through the generations of the Lecyllath family. Though these rumours were never substantiated in recent times, they added to the family's mystique and reputation for being shrewd and calculating.
Early life (3 CGT - 24 CGT)
Rannah's mother, Jennah Lecyllath, was a rising star in the family's political sphere. Having demonstrated exceptional acumen and dedication, she worked her way up through the ranks, eventually earning the trust and admiration of a respectable and influential noble in Carannia by the time Rannah was born. Growing up, Rannah was immersed in a world of privilege and relative comfort, frequently rubbing shoulders with the local nobility through her mother's extensive connections. However, despite the nobles' acceptance of her presence, she remained acutely aware of her status as an outsider, constantly reminded of her non-noble birth. This sense of detachment fuelled a determination within her to prove herself and overcome the societal barriers imposed by her lineage.
Rannah, even from a young age, possessed an innate talent for politics and diplomacy. She naturally developed an uncanny ability to observe people and situations, effortlessly discerning their underlying emotions and motivations. Recognizing her exceptional aptitude, her family fostered and encouraged her to pursue a career in politics. As a teenager, she enrolled in a prestigious legislative youth program, immersing herself in the intricacies of governance and sharpening her skills as an articulate and persuasive orator. It was within this program that Rannah flourished, navigating the complex web of planetary and interstellar politics, gaining a profound understanding of the delicate balance of power and the art of negotiation.
However, it was during her involvement in the legislative youth program that Rannah's horizons expanded beyond the confines of her homeworld. Through educational tours and diplomatic missions to neighbouring planets, she was exposed to the vastness and diversity of the galaxy. The awe-inspiring landscapes and cultures she encountered ignited a deep-seated desire within her to explore beyond the familiar boundaries of her upbringing. The yearning to make a name for herself in the wider galactic community and leave an indelible mark on the universe became an insatiable driving force in her life.
As Rannah grew older, she found herself increasingly drawn to the enigmatic rumours surrounding her family's origins. Whispers and cryptic allusions from servants and members of the extended family hinted at a hidden legacy, a potential connection to a powerful and mysterious ancient Sith Lord. Intrigued by these hushed and whispered tales, Rannah embarked on a clandestine quest for knowledge, delving into the sparsely available secrets of Sith lore both related and unrelated to her supposed ancestor. Her studies became a cautious, private passion, further fuelling her intellectual curiosity and unveiling a deeper understanding of the ancient order's philosophy and history.
Despite her burgeoning fascination with Sith history, Rannah was acutely aware of the potential ramifications of openly discussing her interest in her family's supposed connection to these historic and legendary followers of the Dark Side. Any affiliation, however speculative, to the Sith would invariably be met with suspicion, fear, and judgement by many. Determined to forge her own path and shape her destiny, Rannah tread cautiously, keeping her studies concealed from her family and maintaining a facade of unwavering focus on her official pursuits. She channelled her energy into her studies and political ambitions, resolved to make a name for herself on her own terms, independent of any rumoured ancestral associations.
With the completion of the legislative youth program, Rannah eagerly sought opportunities to venture beyond the boundaries of her homeworld, Serenno. Her family, always eager to have one of their own in the halls of influence and power, encouraged the young Serennian to realise her ambitions. It was only her mother who silently disapproved of her only daughter’s choice to depart Serenno and build her future beyond their homeworld, as she had silently hoped Rannah would follow in her footsteps and succeed her. Yet, drowned out by the encouragement from her daughter’s father and other family members, Jennah uttered her disapproval only once, and never spoke of it again. Thus, at the age of twenty-one, Rannah departed from her homeworld of Serenno and attended recruitment and job fairs in the D’astan and neighbouring sectors in pursuit of a worthy cause to join.
CIS Citizen (24 CGT - Present)
During her travels to different sectors and job fairs, Rannah became increasingly intrigued by the values and ideals of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. She saw in them a commitment to galactic freedom and independence that resonated deeply with her own aspirations. As she learned more about the Confederacy, she saw its political scene as the perfect environment for her to build her career and realize her ambitions. She believed that her skills in politics and diplomacy would be well-suited to the Confederacy's government branch, and that it would provide her with ample opportunities to make a name for herself. Finally, in 24 CGT, Rannah submitted her formal application for citizenship, and after passing through all the necessary formalities, she was thrilled to receive the news that her application had been accepted. She wasted no time in immersing herself in her new role as a publicist within the Confederacy's government branch, eager to contribute to the organization's cause while also building her own career.
As Rannah settled into her role as a publicist within the Confederacy, she encountered the Nal'torai Sisterhood, a formidable mercenary band comprised exclusively of skilled Mirialan women. Intrigued by their unique bond, their philosophy, and impressed by their combat prowess, Rannah sought to forge a mutually beneficial alliance. Recognizing their need for resources and strategic guidance, Rannah provided the Nal'torai Sisterhood with vital intelligence and logistical support, enabling them to successfully complete a high-stakes mission against overwhelming odds. This act of assistance forged a profound connection between Rannah and the Sisterhood, instilling in them a deep loyalty and devotion to her cause. From that moment forward, the Nal'torai Sisterhood swore to fight alongside Rannah, offering their unwavering support and fierce loyalty whenever she called upon their services. Inspired by their shared triumph, Rannah and the Nal'torai Sisterhood embarked on a daring mission to liberate a Pelta-class frigate from the clutches of notorious pirates. Their triumphant success not only brought them some acclaim locally but also rewarded Rannah with a substantial sum of credits. Determined to strengthen her fleet, Rannah utilized her newly acquired fortune to requisition a Raider-class missile corvette, which became her personal flagship, and upon which she bestowed the name "Regnant".
In the period that followed, Rannah's service to the Confederacy of Independent Systems allowed her to grow her reputation as a publicist and diplomat. In addition to her official duties, she began acting as the Confederacy's spokesperson to the press, including prominent media outlets like CIS Shadowfeed. Through her eloquent and persuasive speeches, she was praised by her superiors and peers for effectively conveying the Confederacy's message to the masses. Recognizing the potential of her acquired wealth, Rannah started to invest in various enterprises and ventures while also offering her services as a freelance writer to corporations and institutions in need of her expertise. With aspirations to emulate her ancestor, Rovan Lecyllath, who built a small business empire centuries ago, Rannah meticulously managed her finances in an effort to establish herself on the intergalactic market. Utilizing her amassed credits, she commissioned the construction of a magnificent deep space station. Built in the architectural style of the ancient Serennian castles, the station stood as a testament to her heritage and ambitions. Upon its completion, which she personally oversaw and witnessed, Rannah christened the station "Castle Lecyllath."
Appearance
Rannah Lecyllath is a young and strikingly beautiful Human female in her early twenties. Standing at an average height of 1.75 metres, she possesses a normal, slim physique that hints at a life of physical activity and fitness. Her fair skin complexion gives her an almost ethereal quality, and her grey eyes are piercing and sharp, hinting at a keen intelligence that lies beneath. Yet, Rannah's most striking physical feature is her long, straight blonde hair which she often wears in intricate braids, a nod to her Serennian heritage. The braids perfectly accentuate her high cheekbones and defined jawline, giving her an air of regal elegance that is impossible to ignore. Though her beauty is undeniable, it is not her defining feature. Rather, it is her confidence and intelligence that make her stand out in any room.
Rannah's individualistic fashion sense seamlessly intertwines Serennian trends with intergalactic style, resulting in a unique blend that is all her own. Her sartorial choices never fail to embody the epitome of fashion and elegance, yet they never overpower her natural charm. Subtle touches of makeup, like a gentle blush or a soft lip gloss, gracefully enhance her inherent beauty, serving as harmonious complements rather than overshadowing her captivating features.
Personality
Rannah Lecyllath is a determined and ambitious woman, with a fierce desire to succeed and make a name for herself in the galaxy. Her upbringing within the respectable Lecyllath family instilled within her a keen sense of political savvy, and a natural talent for diplomacy and negotiation. She is skilled at navigating complex political systems, and has an intuitive understanding of the motivations and desires of those around her. However, this ambition can sometimes cloud her judgment, and she may prioritize her own goals or those of the cause she is a part of over the needs of others.
Despite her political ambitions, Rannah does not present herself as cold or calculating. She comes across as warm and personable, with a natural charisma that draws people to her. Her charm is disarming, and she is often able to win over even the most difficult of individuals with her quick wit and magnetic personality. She has a way of making others feel at ease, and is skilled at diffusing tense situations with her tact and diplomacy. However, this charm can also be a mask that hides her true feelings and intentions, and she may use it to manipulate others to achieve her own goals.
Rannah is a deeply intellectual individual, with a voracious appetite for knowledge. She is fascinated by history, particularly the lore surrounding the Sith and her family's rumored ties to the ancient Sith Lord native to Serenno. This fascination is not driven by a desire for power or domination, but rather a genuine curiosity and a desire to uncover the truth about her family's past. She is careful not to let her interest in Sith lore become a distraction from her political goals, but it does inform her worldview and her approach to problem-solving. However, both of those can appear utilitarian or even callous to others at times as a result of the influence of Sith philosophy, even if there is no ill-intent behind Rannah's words or actions.
In her personal life, Rannah is fiercely loyal to those she cares about. She has a small circle of close friends and confidants, and will go to great lengths to protect and support them. She is not quick to judge others, and is always willing to listen to differing viewpoints and opinions. However, she can be somewhat guarded when it comes to her own emotions and vulnerabilities, and tends to keep her true feelings hidden behind a veneer of poise and professionalism. This can sometimes make it difficult for her to connect with others on a deeper level and may cause her to appear aloof or distant.
Relationships
Rannah's relationships with her family members and friends had a profound impact on her life and choices. She was close to her mother, Jennah, who she saw as a mentor and role model while growing up. The two shared many similarities, including a passion for politics and a desire to make a difference in the galaxy. However, they also had many differences in their goals and aspirations, which during Rannah's adolescent years regularly caused friction between them. While Jennah hoped that Rannah would follow in her footsteps and join the political elite, Rannah yearned for a greater destiny and wanted to chart her own path in the galaxy. When the rest of the family supported Rannah in her decision - motivated by the prospect of one of their own propagating the family legacy on a galactic stage - the once close relationship between mother and daughter cooled.
In contrast to her initial closeness to her mother, Rannah's relationship with her father, Romil Darju, was largely formal and distant. The marriage between Romil and Jennah was a political and arranged union, and as a result, Rannah did not have the same kind of bond with her father as she had had with her mother. Although Romil was a kind parent who showed interest in his daughter's upbringing, he was often busy with his political duties and opted to spend more time on his career than his family. Nevertheless, Rannah appreciated the support and encouragement in her pursuit of knowledge and learning that she did receive from him.
During her teenage years, Rannah also had a small ensemble of friends who all hailed from the nobility, including Kael Soolu and Zenya Darec. While they shared common interests and experiences, Rannah always felt like she was more tolerated than liked by her peers. She sensed that they looked down on her for being from a family that did not belong to the planetary nobility and that they only accepted her because of her intelligence and achievements. Despite this, or perhaps because of it, Rannah was determined to prove herself and worked hard to surpass her noble peers in her academic and political pursuits. Yet, her past friendships quickly faded into memory after she left Serenno.
While travelling the galaxy, Rannah encountered the Nal'torai Sisterhood, a renowned mercenary band consisting exclusively of skilled Mirialan women. Impressed by their combat prowess and captivated by their unique camaraderie, Rannah formed a deep bond with the Sisterhood. Recognizing their need for resources and strategic guidance, Rannah offered her assistance to the Nal'torai Sisterhood in a critical mission, providing them with vital intelligence and logistical support. Her unwavering support and instrumental aid in their success forged an unbreakable loyalty within the Sisterhood. From that point on, they vowed to fight by Rannah's side whenever she required their services, becoming her staunch allies and trusted companions.
Rannah's exploration of her sexuality was a personal journey that she largely kept to herself. While she had brief encounters of a romantic nature with both men and women in her young adult years, she did not feel the need to label herself or to be open about her preferences. She recognized that Serennian society was largely accepting of different sexual orientations and did not feel like she needed to conform to any particular expectations or norms. Ultimately, Rannah valued personal freedom and authenticity above all else, and this extended to all aspects of her life, including her relationships.
Skills & Abilities
Rannah Lecyllath possesses a set of skills and abilities that are mostly derived from her upbringing and personal interests. Her physical skills are above average, as she has always been engaged in some form of light exercise from an early age. However, her physical skills are not her strongest point. Despite this, Rannah's cousin Jamys, who was a local officer of the law, took her under his wing when she was young and mentored her in weapons training with blasters and rifles. As Rannah grew older, Jamys even instructed her in marksmanship, which proved to be invaluable later on. Despite not having received any significant combat training, Rannah's training with Jamys allowed her to defend herself in most combat scenarios, especially with the use of firearms. As a result, she regularly joined her family members on their recreational hunting trips into the Serennian wilds.
During her early adolescent years, Rannah began to plan to leave Serenno one day, knowing that her destiny lay among the stars. As a result, she invested a lot of time and effort into developing her piloting skills on her own initiative and funding. Her natural talent and drive for adventure have allowed her to become a proficient pilot, and she is comfortable flying various kinds of spacecraft. Rannah's passion for piloting has also enabled her to explore the galaxy, and she has had many thrilling experiences that have shaped her character and broadened her perspectives.
Rannah's greatest strengths reside in her intellect and quick-wittedness. Her sharp mind enables her to swiftly and efficiently process information, making her a competent player within the often treacherous and tricky world of politics. Rannah's natural ability for diplomacy and negotiation is another key attribute, as she is capable of connecting with individuals and finding common ground to create mutually beneficial outcomes. Her charisma further bolsters her diplomatic skills, enabling her to easily connect with those around her and to captivate their interest in the message she is trying to convey. Beyond her mental capabilities, Rannah also has a deep-rooted passion for learning and is continually seeking to broaden her knowledge and skills. She holds a particular interest in history, and her comprehensive understanding of the political and social histories of various significant civilizations throughout the galaxy serves her well in her intelligence work. Rannah's historical expertise allows her to detect patterns and predict the actions of her adversaries, enabling her to stay one step ahead in any given situation.
