Votth’yrza’oruas - or Thyrza Oruas - emerged from the icy embrace of Csilla, the Chiss homeworld. Born into the Oruas family, Thyrza's earliest upbringing shifted dramatically when conflict and upheaval in Chiss space had forced her kin to seek refuge on Alderaan. Growing up amid the intersection of her people's traditions and Alderaanian society, Thyrza navigated the challenge of forming connections in a human-dominated world, finding solace primarily among her Chiss kin. The turning point came when she entered the University of Aldera, where she embraced local customs and shaped her values through a synthesis of Chiss tradition and Alderaanian progressivism. Graduating as a mature Chiss woman at eighteen, Thyrza was expected to embark on her Rite of Passage, an age-old tradition within her family. Thus, in the early months of 25 CGT, she left Alderaan cut off from family ties and relations, to prove her worth to her kin.

Biography

Early Life (7 CGT - 25 CGT)

Votth’yrza’oruas - core name Thyrza - was born on the cold and frozen Chiss homeworld of Csilla in 7 CGT to Votth’elya’oruas and her husband Jadh’enrey’oruas. The Oruas family was a middle-class household that had lived within the city of Csaplar for generations, and was believed to have wielded power and influence within the Ascendancy in the distant past. Yet, the turmoil and conflict that had plagued Chiss space for decades had eventually driven the family to the decision to leave Csilla and settle on the quiet and peaceful core world of Alderaan in 8 CGT, after a long and arduous journey of trials and tribulations. As a result, this planet became the new adopted homeworld of the Oruas family, after they were first taken in as refugees, and later received planetary citizenship and took up residence in the city of Aldera.

As many of the Oruas family members had worked in well-paying professions on Csilla, they managed to maintain the family’s status as a middle-class household by employing themselves in similar positions on Alderaan. As a result, Thyrza grew up in relative comfort while being sent to reputable schools in Aldera, all the while being raised according to the values and traditions of the Chiss in combination with the customs of Alderaanian society. Yet, aside from being an alien among humans, Thyrza also had difficulty forming lasting friendships with her peers at school due to the accelerated rate of maturing that the Chiss experienced, and thus mostly established meaningful connections with her cousins and other kin throughout her childhood and early adolescence.

The isolation from her peers ended when Thyrza attended the University of Aldera at the age of thirteen - at which age the Chiss were considered to be young adults - and started to properly participate in Alderaanian customs. As a result, she developed a unique set of personal values and beliefs that stemmed largely from Chiss tradition but which were influenced by Alderaanian progressivism and open-mindedness. Eventually, Thyrza graduated as a fully mature Chiss woman. Subsequently, at the age of eighteen, it was time for Thyrza to embark on her rite of passage to prove her worth to her kin, by building up her own future and career while entirely separated from family resources and contacts. Thus, in the early months of 25 CGT, Thyrza Oruas left her adopted homeworld of Alderaan and took her first steps into the wider galaxy on her own.

Appearance

Thyrza embodies the distinctive features of her Chiss heritage with a flawless, smooth blue complexion, complemented by the piercing intensity of her bright red eyes. She has the physical maturity of a humanoid in their early twenties. Cascading around her shoulders, her long cobalt-hued hair adds an element of depth to her appearance. Standing at a height of 1.71 meters, she possesses a slim yet toned physique, a testament to the inherent metabolic vigour of her people. Her facial features, strong and proportionate, enhance her natural beauty, a quality she occasionally accentuates with a subtle touch of makeup. The graceful poise and dignified demeanour she carries mirror the renowned traits of the Chiss, fostering an air of mystery and enigma around her.

Having been immersed in both Chiss and Alderaanian customs, Thyrza's wardrobe mirrors this unique blend of cultures. In public, she adorns herself in the latest galactic fashion trends, seamlessly blending into the broader community's sense of style. However, within the confines of private spaces, she exclusively dons garments that echo the cultural resonance of her Chiss upbringing, embracing the traditions that have shaped her identity.

Personality

Like most Chiss, Thyrza was raised to be emotionally reserved and composed in her behaviour. While she will maintain the appropriate levels of politeness in public and engage in the gestures and expressions that are necessary to be considered as such, her demeanour is always a carefully constructed mask that betrays nothing of her true emotional state of being. All her words and deeds are deliberate and carefully considered beforehand, with spontaneous or impulsive acts being something completely alien to her.

Thyrza is a meticulous planner who takes the time to consider all possible outcomes to a scenario, in order to be prepared for all the eventualities that she considers likely. This way she attempts to avoid the need for improvisation, which she considers to be the consequence of poor planning and a lack of careful deliberation. Yet, outwardly, this makes her seem cold and calculating to those who don’t know her personally, with her cautiousness and careful decision-making sometimes being seen as hesitation or indecisiveness.

While the frivolous pursuit of romantic entanglements is not something she'd readily participate in, Thyrza has always considered herself to be of a bisexual inclination. This aligns with her conviction that the benefit the individual and family gain from a romantic partnership or marriage completely outweigh any personal preferences one might have, including whether or not that relationship involves any feelings of passion or love. Thyrza believes that the personal responsibility to one's own ambitions and goals, or the duty to one's family, should be the leading factor in establishing any relations of a romantic or marital kind.
