Early Life

Varek Xaytz had a relatively normal childhood. His parents worked in bacta manufacturing, contributing to the planet’s primary industry. However, tragedy struck when both his parents were killed in what was officially declared a lab accident. Inheriting their credits and remaining belongings, young Varek was thrust into a life of independence.

Fascinated by old Clone Wars technology and history, Varek began exploring and acquiring pieces of this bygone era. By slicing into a public trading terminal and making purchases under a false name, he acquired old, rundown B1 battle droids. He meticulously repaired frayed wiring and burnt circuitry using parts scavenged from scrapyards. Over time, he assembled a hobbled-together team of droids to serve as his personal guard, driven by the fear that he might meet the same fate as his parents.

As Varek grew into his teenage years, his curiosity and suspicion about his parents' death deepened. Official reports claimed a lab accident, but Varek suspected foul play, especially given the Vratix's history of terrorism. By the age of sixteen, he had conducted a thorough investigation, uncovering clues that led him to a terrorist cell responsible for his parents' deaths. The last sounds the terrorists heard were the screams and the march of droid feet as Varek exacted his revenge.

In the aftermath, Varek found an old recording hidden among his parents' belongings. In the message, a middle-aged man spoke calmly, predicting his potential demise due to a disturbance in the Force. The man revealed that he had left important items with a contact named [REDACTED], and if Varek was hearing the message, something dire must have happened to the Xaytz family.

Determined to follow the lead, Varek contacted [REDACTED]. Weeks later, he boarded an old Arquitens-class Frigate, running his hands along the interior panels, feeling a mix of excitement and apprehension. This was his first time aboard a ship, and his droid guards flanked him as he strode to the cockpit. Ready to begin a new life, Varek left Thyferra behind, his heart set on uncovering more truths and finding his place in the galaxy.
