Early Life

A Jawa that truly is an offworlder by Tatooine standards, Zu Icaz was born on a freighter in deep space in Year -9 on Day 200 and raised in the spacelanes by a pair of spacer Jawa parents who traveled with the crew of the freighter which included other Jawa along with Twileks and other species. His parents told him stories of his ancestors on Tatooine and how that his dad had lost most of his clan when sentients from offworld came and tried to eradicate the entire clan. His only living blood relative is a great aunt located somewhere on Tatooine. Zu’s parents had always taught him that he should stand up for what he thought was right and protect other Jawa throughout the galaxy from a fate not dissimilar to those of his ancestors.

Zu Icaz’s parents were impeccable engineers and could fix almost anything, until one day they were caught on an unremarkable world in the middle of a civil war. The Jawa were massacred for helping the wrong side repair their equipment. A handful of Jawa survived and Zu led them to safety, sending them back to their homeworld of Tatooine while vowing to become the protector of Jawa-kind that his parents had wanted him to be, protecting his kind from the ends of the galaxy to the core. From this day the tales of a fearless warrior Jawa spread across the population of Jawa and was the subject of many jokes in cantinas across the galaxy, as most of the stories had grown exponentially into falsehoods through tellings and retellings.

A New Path

Shortly after these events Zu Icaz was on a hunting trip in a jungle on some out of the way planet when a vornskr attacked him. He believed himself to be dead and at that moment a band of Wookiee huntsmen came from nowhere and killed the creature effectively saving Zu from certain death. The wookiees insisted that he stay with them and wouldn’t let him leave. Over time Zu began to understand the wookiee language which was a combination of Shyriiwook and another dialect of the Wookie language although he was unable to speak it. They taught him about their culture and about wrruushi and how it ties into many rituals of the Wookie race. A member of the band was a smith who taught Zu about the armor and weapons that wookiees wield into battle. One of the final lessons he was taught by the smith was about the ryyk blade, how the blade was an extension of the wielder. The wookiee smith then showed Zu how the blade was forged and the work that went into producing the blade, he then showed Zu how to wield the ryyk blade the right way and how to use it. Before the wookiees sent Zu on his way they gifted him the ryyk blade crafted by the smith, knowing how great an honor it is considered for a non-wookiee to be deemed worthy to wield a ryyk blade Zu promised to protect it and use it to help those that could not help themselves.

The Foundations of the Path

During his travels after leaving the wookiee tribe he heard rumors of a group that sought balance in the galaxy, the group was called The Guardians of the Whills, and he sought them out to ask to join their cause as a disciple. This is how Zu met Gothar Elensar the Keeper of the Whills at that time. Zu Icaz again set off on his journey to help those that he could and try to alleviate the wrongs done to those that could not help themselves.

The Path Leads to New Ventures

Jawa Offworld Enterprises

It was during his quest to right the wrongs done to those that could not help themselves that he ran into a group of Jawa trying to make their way in the galaxy, the group was called Jawa Offworld Enterprises. Zu Icaz fell in with the group as he saw it as a way to help protect other Jawas from the fate that was suffered by his parents and their clan.

Twin Suns Trading

After some time with Jawa Offworld Enterprises Zu saw an opportunity that could not be passed up; trading a droid for a corporation. The corporation was called Blue Star Enterprises at the time. The name was later changed to Twin Suns Trading, a reference to the twin suns of the Jawa homeworld. As the Jawa Executive of Twin Suns Trading Zu Icaz developed the MegaRaffle in an attempt to help stimulate the galactic economy and possibly fund those wishing to strike out on their own. Twin Suns Trading operates as a subsidiary of Jawa Offworld Enterprises. Eventually Twin Suns Trading was merged back into Jawa Offworld Enterprises and lives on in the rolls of history.

A New Chapter

After the merger of Twin Suns Trading into Jawa Offworld Enterprises; Zu decided to travel the galaxy, exploring planets, ruins, and any other focal points that drew his attention. It was during these travels that Zu came to the realization of a very disturbing truth. While on a pilgrimage to Kyber City on Koiogra V he was denied entry to the planet by the Resistance who cited attempted Imperial escapades into their territory as the reason for turning away religious visits. Zu’s realization was that the Guardians were too entwined within the political structure of the Resistance to be a truly impartial organization. Upon this realization he journeyed home to Tatooine where he spent months meditating upon his revelations at the B`omarr Monastery. Within this time a krayt dragon, a sacred beast among many cultures on Tatooine, attacked Zu and when the battle that ensued ended Zu stood victorious upon the carcass of the beast. That moment the Order of the Krayt Dragon was born, an idealism based on beliefs shaped within his time with both the people of Tatooine and those of the Whills. This is no order of force wielding sorcerers but of common folk who are mere wanderers with a purpose in a galaxy filled with those who do not know their purpose. The Order teaches the Way of the Fifty Fangs which is a martial art based on ancient Jar’Kai swordplay, Stava, Teräs Käsi, and H’kafis.

Notable Travels

During his travels he visited the planet of Champala where another Jawa named Kolomon Seph and himself attempted to take on a herd of acklay. The battle raged on for hours, Kolomon and Zu both dodging through the jungle trees to stay away from the acklay while firing upon it. Kolomon fought bravely that day and almost knocked out the acklay. However, in the final moments of the battle Zu rushed the acklay with his trusty force pike and swiftly ended the acklays life in a daring final blow.
