The Unity Protocol was a mutual defense treaty signed on Year 21 Day 127 during the War for the Republic. Fearing a possible invasion by the Imperial Union, representatives from the Mandalorian Gav Technical Services authored the treaty, which was signed by governments and corporations who had interests in the south-east region of the galaxy, including the Hyporian Commonwealth, LodeCorp Mining, Mando'ade, Stryker Military Services, and the newly formed Rebel Alliance. Despite the concern, Imperial Union activity was limited the sectors of the former New Republic and territory sympathetic to The Resistance in the northern portions of the Outer Rim.
