Background
Behemocoatyl's backstory can be traced back to the logs of Vasson Cuze, the last recorded captain of Lictor-class Dungeon Ship, The Isle of Scorn.Originally a ship belonging to an Eidolan slaver, it changed hands numerous times, usually with the death of the former captain. However, the ship has been uninhabited for quite some time, which became clear from the journal entries later discovered.
The first recorded appearance comes from the ship logs of Lictor-class Dungeon Ship, The Isle of Scorn, where the Dianoga youngling can be seen being brought aboard by several crew members. It would seem that one of the crew members had won it as a prize in an undisclosed game of Pazaak and had decided to bring it with himself for the purposes of domestication.
The creature soon grew in size, as is common with their species. This led to the Dianoga (affectionately dubbed Behemocoatyl by the crew) being relocated by force into the trash compactor, where it continued to feed on biological waste. Thanks to the Captain's authorisation the crew tried to appease the beast by means of satiating it's appetite by disposing of the corpses they had collected along the way, as well as disobedient live sentients and the occasional prisoner. Several times, a volunteer was dropped into the pit to see if he could best the gigantic creature, yet every one of these attempts has met with zero success. Betting was also highly encouraged during both these situations.
Some time after acquiring the Dianoga, the entire crew vanished without a trace while in Cyborrea. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that most parts of the ship interior were covered in an unknown strain of fungus. The new owner of the ship, Diabolus`ut Persolvo had invested a notable sum of credits to fully clean and repair the Lictor, before passing its ownership onto Dhar`ghul Khrog in a Morgukai Rite of Passage. As of now, the Dianoga remains the sole occupant of the ship
Behemocoatyl is the sole inhabitant of the Scorn as of now. Despite the crew disappearing under mysterious circumstances, the Dianoga doesn't appear to have left its territory. Its next fate remains to be seen.
