Lau Cha has some infamy within the galaxy having been placed on the list of scammers maintained by Syn. The listing is related to a number of scams involving Centrepoint Market listings Lau Cha made in the later part of Year 12, around the time he came to Galactic notice.[1]
Although he apologized citing the need for money to get his enterprise going there has been no indication that he ever repaid those hurt by his initial scams.
