The Penumbra Apex is a standard YV-666 light freighter owned by the Trandoshan scalelord Venari Haliat. Venari acquired the ship after he killed and ate its previous owners.

History

During the Clone Wars, the Penumbra Apex was controlled by a crew of bounty hunters and was one the ships involved in hunting in the Outer Rim. The Penumbra Apex, along with its partner ship, were in orbit over Dantooine to pick run down a bounty on Venari. Instead, they were fooled by Venari, who, after killing those hunters in the hanger bay, killed everyone on the ship, except for the ships astromech.
